I’m an adult, and I absolutely love this jellyfish projection lamp. First and foremost (because nothing in the directions tell you this), the top pops off to expose the projection piece. That projection piece also has a cover on it so you can tame the “waves” and turn it into a more subtle/solid light.Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about this product. All pieces received were in tact and in working order. It runs off a USB cord, so make sure you have a device or wall plugin ready to go. The cord itself is just under 4 feet (~46 inches). The remote takes 2 AAA batteries (not included) and controls power on/off, “leg” color, “top” color, varying speed modes of how fast the projection “waves” move, brightness of lamp, and includes a timer mode (45 or 90 minutes).Now, for all the other fun stuff. The jellyfish itself is just absolutely cool and nothing about it looks cheap. The top can be a different color than the legs, and you can have just the top lit up without turning on the legs. Once you pop the top off, you can now see the projector mode, which throws “waves” up on your walls and ceilings. The image will start on the wall at the same level as the jelly fish. I hope that makes sense, but basically, if the projector is sitting on a side table, the images won’t go any lower than the tabletop. So if you really wanted the entire room filled, you’d need to set this on the floor in the middle of the room. That’s obviously not a long-term placement, but it’ll be fun if you want to light the entire room up.Even with it sitting on some sort of table/dresser, the waves still light up the room and cover a good amount of ceiling/wall. It does look like you’re under water, but you could also imagine this as clouds, smoke, a volcano erupting, etc. The options are endless. It’s honestly very relaxing.There are also different color modes, ranging from staying solid to transitioning from color to color.When you’re ready to use this as a lamp, it’s super easy to cover the projector with the small solid piece that comes inside the “head”, and then put the head back on. All pieces are super easy to remove. I can’t say enough good things about this product.
Important:When I first received the lamp, I thought it had broken pieces inside, as I could see something shifting around under the frosted dome. With a gentle shake, I could also hear something moving, so I thought it was defective or broken.This was NOT the case!Upon removing the plastic dome, I discovered that they shipped the lamp with the light filters packaged inside of the dome cover, which actually made good sense, as to protect the parts during shipping.So…all is good. Be sure to open the dome to remove the aforementioned part/parts so that you won’t think the product is damaged, as I initially did.What I like:The interface controls are OK.The remote control functions are very good and provide for plenty of adjustments including brightness control.I have so many little astronauts and other ceiling projectors that I’ve honestly lost count. I ordered this more as a novelty item for its jellyfish styling. I didn’t really expect much in terms of being bedazzled by the light projector function, and figured I’d just enjoy the ambient nightlight function. I sure was in for a surprise at just how cool and fluid-like the ceiling projector function really is! This thing outdoes all of those other “galaxy” projectors that I own. The light projection onto the ceiling creates the illusion of colorful water movement and it’s like I’m relaxing under the sea. I also like that the wave-like imagery is clear, so there’s no issues with things being out of focus, as with so many of the so-called “galaxy/star” projectors on the market.Overall, I’m highly satisfied with the product.What I don’t like:The little, transparent appendages, which serve as the base of the unit are easy to install, but they can fall off occasionally when moving the unit for dusting my shelf or table. It’s not a big deal, as I can just apply a tiny dab of craft glue if it becomes a nuisance over time.I would order this item again.
This is the first projector Iâve had that has two separate lights. One on top and one underneath. You can set each light to the same color or different colors. The jellyfish is super cute and covers a good portion of the ceiling, and the wavy lights are very soothing

What can I say? This little guy is so awesome, he got his own theme song that I was singing whilst setting him up. A catchy one, at that.At first I was a bit underwhelmed, then remembered seeing a review that mentioned changing out the plastic dome on top. So I apologized for potentially breaking him in advance and gave his little hat a yank.Blinded.That warning is there for a reason, folks. Turn off your little jellyfish guy before stripping him of his hat.Once I could see again, I found that all the noise was the sound of more hats hitting the floor, so I put the small bubbly one on and…wow.I’m no stranger to all manner of lights and trippy doodads. I’ve had probably hundreds of lava lamps, nebula projectors, rotating colored party light balls, the works. This one really just blows them all out of the water.In my living room with 10′ ceilings, having him at about waist height seems optimal for the best effect on the ceiling. I’m still trying to figure out all the functions on the remote, but like the 2nd one for motion (it looks like waves of colored water-flames rolling across, if that makes any sense).You will not be disappointed in this light – of that I’m about as close to 100% positive as you can get about someone else’s personal opinion.
