Works well and fits standard soda cans tightly
This soda can top works well. It’s a 2 part item that has a flexible plastic straw which reaches into the bottom of the can. I first tried it with the straw, and it was decent but a bit gassy. I then removed the straw for a second can and it works much better.2 things about this work well, First if the can happens to get knocked over, you won’t spill anything, so it’s good for kids in particular.Second, if you tend to drink a can of soda slowly, this helps quite a bit to keep the “fizz” going for long periods. That is if you close the top spout. I have had a can stay fresh for over 12 hours.The top fits very tightly and with the spout closed, it offers a handle for your drink as well.Good product and recommended.
Preserving the fizz
I don’t drink pop but use pop as mixers in mixed drinks – esp. gin and tonics! I usually don’t finish an entire can in a day, so usually try to wrap up the top with saran wrap and hope I don’t lose too much fizz to the next day. I’ve tried looking for lids to cover the cans but most do not fit.These Lanpul caps are perfectly sized to fit the cans I have. I’ve tried them over a ginger ale can, a can of premixed gin drink, and even a can of juice. As long as they’re 2.1 inches across on the top, they should fit.These caps offer more features than I actually need. I don’t think I will need the straw feature, but when it’s not in use, it is not in the way because it is tucked away. They are spill proof and they preserve the fizz better than my saran wrap method, at least for my overnight test.I’m very glad I found these, although I think $29.99 CAD (price at time of order) for four pieces is a bit high priced for pop can caps. But bear in mind I have no use for the straw feature.
