Readings are accurate
I bought this unit to monitor the temperature inside my boat’s refrigerator. I have not installed it yet to see if it would work, but i can already say that the temperature reading of the sensor is accurate, while the humidity reading is slightly off. The way I tested it is that I kept both the sensor and unit inside my home after inserting the batteries. I kept them side-by-side, then on top of my house electronic thermostat unit, to compare readings. Initially, the sensor temp and humidity readings were off by at least two degrees and 5% for humidity, in comparison with the unit base and house thermostat readings, which were identical. That was quite a disappointment and made me think about all those bad reviews. I was about to repack it all and send it back, but decided to look for trouble-shooting in the manual. It stipulated that, if the sensor readings become off, to reboot the connection between the sensor and base unit. You then take batteries out of both units, and put them back in, while keeping both units within a couple feet from each other, and wait for about 20 minutes. The reboot was successful and readings for inside and outside were within 0.2 C, and 1-2% of humidity, which matched the readings on my house electronic thermostat. I have yet to try placing the sensor in my boat fridge and base close by to see if it will work. I’ll update my review after I did so.
Customer service great, product had issues
When I received this product, everything was good. The unit worked as it should and the temperature readings were about a degree different than other devices I have. About 5 months later the outdoor display would no longer give readings. I went to AMIR for troubleshooting assistance. They we responsive to my messages and offered some guidance. It was later determined that the outdoor sensor was faulty. AMIR refunded my money paid under the warranty. I found AMIR to be friendly and cooperative in trying to resolve he problem. So five stars to AMIR for product support, and 5 stars to the product…but only while it worked.
Ne fonctionne plus après 1 mois.
Tout était beau jusqu’à après un mois d’utilisation. Depuis, la température extérieure est affiché LL.L.Ce code veut dire basse température en pleine canicule d’été. Bref ne fait pas de sens.Le manuel d’utilisateur n’aide pas et après essayer de reset, de reprogrammer, changer de place la sonde extérieure, de changer les batteries, changer de channel de température, toujours la même chose.à éviter.
Great for my parents even though I don’t understand why its needed
My mother likes to know the temp outside and inside. Not sure why anyone would need this but I guess with lots of sales, there is a use for this. She told me that she loves it. It is accurate, easy to read and she had no issues setting it up. I guess this is a good product even though I guess I am not the generation to use this.
This is a great little weather device!
This is a great device. We take it camping with us and twice now it changed to rain on the device and within a couple hours…Thunder and lightning! The only minor gripe is the index. Mold and dew could be useful to some but why is the third option temperature when it already shows inside and outside temps?
