Cleared up my face over night! I’m shocked
I get eczema on my face mostly around where sideburns would be and it trails out to my cheeks and along my hairline forehead and jawline. Usually just any moisturizer seemed “fine” to me but was experiencing a really bad flair up (probably due to the scent in my other cream) so I ordered this one because I was getting comments about my skin looking worse :cI put it on before bed and woke up to no itchiness, no red bumps and no flaky skin WOW! I mean, I can still see where it all was but the improvement is amazing for only using it once. I will continue to use it from now. I wish I had taken a before picture because *woah* the difference is soooo noticeable.I’m actually mad at myself for hating my eczema for so long and not buying a proper eczema cream for it….because this is so affordable and so quick to fix it. My doctor said just use gentle soap and moisturize it but she never gave me a cream or recommendations…but wow this stuff is all I need. I’m in love <3
Works well but doesnt last
Love this lotion. The scent is mild and it softens even the driest skin.The only downsides are:1) it doesn’t last long in dry weather. I need to reapply 2 maybe 3 times a day in winter. During humid summer or if you’re active and sweat, it lasts longer but still not “all day” relief.2) its minor but it leaves a slight film on your hands. I wouldn’t describe it as wet or sticky or even slippery, it’s just sort of there. It makes your palms softer and less grippy. But it comes right off if you rub them together under water. And if you’re using it on arms, I recommend using the back of your hands to rub it in to avoid the issue.Other than that, it’s really great for super dry skin.
Helped with my eczema on my hands
I have cracks and eczema on my fingers and around fingers on palm (like where you wear rings) and after a few days of using, the palm has no more rashes/dry cracks, and I get less cracks on my fingers too. They work nice on other parts of my body too. I usually feel a bit sticky/tacky after applying so I usually put it on before bed. No strong smell, nice soothing feeling, it didn’t sting even on the cracks/cuts.
Worth the price difference from other Aveeno creams
I got this for eczema on my neck that was scaling, though by the time it arrived I had already stopped the worst of it with steroids. It seems to be soothing as a second moisturizer, my first layer containing HLA, and it doesn’t dry out so fast that it needs an occlusive third layer right away. The texture is thinner than other Aveeno moisturizers I’ve been using, perhaps because petrolatum is lower on the ingredients list. With those I had to reapply after an hour or so when my skin would start flaking again, even with thick layers that pilled after drying.I like that the ingredients in Aveeno Eczema Care are mostly targeted at moisturizing and healing the skin barrier. I tried it on my face overnight, again as a second layer, and my skin was really soft the next day. Some of the ingredients are flagged as potential irritants in CosDNA but I didn’t get any breakouts from using it.
Really Like this Moisturizer For Excema
This moisturizer is fairly thick and emollient. My skin barrier broke down this week, for no apparent reason. It happens quite often and I often look sunburned . I know I have excema, roscasae, and don’t know what else. I usually use a higher end (OleHenriksen) moisturizer because it helps so much. I normally use it at night.This moisturizer is excellent for excema. As I said, it’s fairly thick so you don’t need a lot. If you put too much you’ll wait long for it to dry down so you can add sunscreen
