This 4 pack of spindle rods from Baby Gate Guru is designed as a replacement kit for lost or damaged spindle rods (the threaded bolts that push against the wall to hold the gate in place), commonly used in pressure mounted baby and pet safety gates.
Available in 2 standard sizes, M8 or M10, to fit your model of safety gate. M8 fits gates with a 7-8mm diameter opening. M10 fits gates with a 9-10mm diameter opening. See below for compatibility information.

Finding The Right Parts For Your Gate Is Your Gate Pressure Mounted?
These spindle rods are designed to be used with pressure mounted gates only. Pressure mounted gates are installed by tightening the spindle rods against the surrounding wall or doorframe, creating tension that holds the gate securely in place. By contrast, hardware mounted gates are installed by screwing manufacturer-provided hardware into the walls, then connecting the gate.
Measuring Your Gate
If you are not sure which size will fit your pressure mounted gate, you can measure the holes that the spindle rods go into to determine the correct size yourself. An M8 screw’s true diameter will measure slightly less than 8mm, so will fit nicely into a 7-8mm hole. An M10 screw’s true diameter will measure slightly less than 10mm, and will fit nicely into a 9-10mm hole.
Use In Combination With Wall Protectors For Even More Length and Padding
Baby Gate Guru Spindle Rods are designed to fit perfectly with Baby Gate Guru Wall Protectors (sold separately).
Baby Gate Guru Wall Protectors can add an additional 1.25″ (5/8″ extra each side) in length to your installation, extending the maximum width of your gate even further to help it fit in wider openings.
Wall Protectors are designed to spread out the pressure against your wall over a larger padded surface area, protecting your walls even more from scuffs, paint scrapes, dents, and other damage.
Use In Combination With Y-Spindle Rods For Setup At The Bottom Of Staircases
Extra Long Baby Gate Guru Spindle Rods can help your gate installation reach new places, and when used in combination with Baby Gate Guru Banister Y-Spindle Rods (sold separately) you can even install your gate at the bottom of stairs!
Use 2-3 extra long spindle rods plus 1-2 extra long banister Y-spindle rods, depending on the design of your staircase, and your pressure gate can install securely against your stair banister.
Note that pressure mounted safety gates should never be installed at the top of staircases. Only hardware mounted gates are suitable there.

Honestly, it’s a great product. It works fantastic. I however, had painted my walls and didn’t think of letting them dry for more than a few days and it definitely took the paint with it as I removed it but beyond that it works great and I would definitely buy again. It was actually better than the other company I purchased from with my other gate. They go really tight and keeps my kid out of my bedroom. Single Parent hacks man ha ha

We recieved a couple summer brand baby gates without mounting hardware and we’re having a hard time tracking down new mounting hardware for them. These work perfect and are SO easy to install.
Exactly what I needed
One of the spindle rods was misplaced on one of my pet gates. These are a one to one replacement for my missing one. We’re back in business without the need to make-do.
Fat thread
Make sure you have a thick hole for these to go in. Will not fit every baby gate. Sturdy and perfect for our extra tall-wide gate.

These spindle rods are virtually the same as the ones which came with the original gate except for colour. We have 4 of these gates to control animal access to various rooms. When reading the reviews I couldn’t find any reference to the gate model # but have included it above. The gates have proven very useful and if I had the need I would buy again. Being able to replace the spindles is just icing on the cake. They look sturdy and I expect them to last a reasonable length of time.
I bought some spindles from someone else that were long and 8 mm. I never knew there was a difference in the thickness of the thread. Yours was a 10 mm so it was the precise thickness that I needed and it is secure and does the job. I could have gotten away with the 8 mm but yours provides the right security for the gate that it was needed for. Thank you very much. Also the pads on the end are a firm Rubber and not gummy in case that helps anyone make their decision. Thank you again very much
