These are a joke
Thereâs a reason theyâre only $6. Theyâre so cheaply made and itâs a stuggle to open or close them. The sliding part is not easy to move up and down. The âunlockâ buttons on the side can be fully pressed in yet it doesnât unlockâ¦. Just Spend the extra $3-$4 and buy the safety first ones.
Garbage
Bought this to keep my dog out of the garbage.Lock comes undone just by pulling on the cupboard doors. Highly advise against purchasing as a toddler could easily get in to whatever you are trying to keep them from.
Pros:The U-Shaped Child Locks for Cabinets have been a lifesaver in my home. These locks are incredibly easy to use! Just slide them on, and you’re good to go. They fit a wide range of cabinet handles and knobs, which is perfect for our mix of furniture. The best part is how effectively they keep curious little hands out. My toddler hasn’t managed to bypass these yet, giving me much-needed peace of mind. They’re also easy for adults to open, which means no struggling when you need to grab something quickly. The sleek design blends in well with our kitchen and bathroom decor, so they don’t stick out like an eyesore.Cons:There is only one problem I have found with them. The lock side is only one way locking. If you put it on backwards, which you can just fine and it seems fine, then it will be able to be pulled right off the end. Found this out by experience from my toddler.Overall:Overall, the U-Shaped Child Locks for Cabinets are a great addition to any childproofing arsenal. These safety locks do come in handy when you have small children. I got these to prevent my toddler from getting into certain cabinets that could be dangerous. They do work well at preventing her from opening the cabinets. They are quite simple and easy to use. Just squeeze the 2 tabs to separate the pieces, slide over cabinet handles and clamp together to lock it. Unless a child has some serious strength and agility to be able to squeeze the tabs and slide the piece off, there is no way they going to get into the cabinets with these on them. So they do their job perfectly. They are sturdy and pretty well made for a simple plastic contraption.
This came in a pack of two and has done what it claims to do. I will say, my kids donât mess with them so that may affect this rating system. The product fits over my door handles, was super easy to put on (or take off) and seems to be of great value! I donât see any problems with âstickinessâ other than that these locks hold strong, and I also havenât needed to clean them so Iâm not sure of those areas. We use these for the under sink doors in our kitchen but again, we donât keep anything under there and have only ever had to go under once when checking our pipes. So the locks have held up very well since we bought them almost 6 months ago. I definitely recommend these locks to folks who have liquor cabinets, or guns and weapons, medicinal or chemical cabinets. Basically anything you want to keep kids and people out of, Iâd highly recommend.
Works well but they do break over time.
The locks fir as they should. They are a little hard to open but that comes with childlocks. They are durable. Fit cabinets well. Super easy to install. Quickly can be removed.
