Crash tested in a crash testing facility, surpassing safety NHTSA standards, CPSC/CPSIA Safety Compliant after rigorous testing, CPST car seat technician recommended. AAP agrees, bulky coats under belts are not safe, that’s why our car seat ponchos go on over the buckles and seatbelts, leaving no room for belt slack and no interfering with carseat harness. You can put the poncho on your child to walk from home to car, then lift the poncho front, buckle up your child, and put the poncho back down over your child. That’s it! Hassle Free Safety, Comfort and Warmth. The poncho can placed over the seat in the back so as not to create excessive bulkage behind your child’s head when in the car or stroller. The front is long enough for coverage and can be tucked in around the sides. Freedom of arm movement is paramount as most kids don’t like to have their arms constrained. The hood can be on or off and has enough room for an extra hat if needed. The bonus is the adorable design! Parents of new walkers should assure child does not trip on poncho when walking, as it may be long. Sizing. One Size, the poncho fits kids 6-12 months old in car seat up to 4 or 5 year old walkers, and grows with them. They grow with your child. Total Poncho Measurements: 52 inches in length by 24 inches in width; hood spikes measure 1.75 inch in height. Hooded Poncho Care: Machine wash cold; dry on very low heat; do not iron. This is the cutest little poncho!! It was shipped out the next AM from my order date, which happened to be Remembrance Day, and got to me very quickly (and I’m in Canada). There was no additional charges or duty either and the packaging was also super cute!! We’ve been wearing it for a bit now and my son loves it, it’s so much easier getting him in and out of the carseat and keeping him warm. We get SO many compliments while out and about.I’ve seen other reviews talking about the stitching… mine has no issues, not one out of place thread!!

At first glance, this is very cute. I do like the dino pattern and spikes on the hood. I wanted to buy a carseat poncho after seeing my friend’s kid wear hers. I marveled at my friend’s kid’s poncho : at how thick and warm it was and it had zippers to keep the warmth in. I found this dinosaur poncho on Amazon and was so excited. However, after opening it up and putting it on, I see that the material is no different from a fleece sweater. It is not very thick. it is a double layer of thin fleece. While cute, it is not very warm and has no snaps, or zippers under the arms to keep the warmth in. It is longer in the back which is good. However, the width is a bit too thin. My son is only 2yo and sides only reaches the top of his elbows. So when we are out in the cold, it is too cold for his arms. We’re in Calgary and it gets to -35 degree celsius at times. This would work better for those who live in warmer winters. I think I will return this if I can find another place that can make a thicker, warmer poncho. It has very thin Fleece, even though its touted as double layer. May be good for warmer winters, but if you live in Canada, and your car is parked outside, this is NOT warm at all. Also do not like that the neckline is so small. My son is only 2, but it hurts him when I pull this off over his head. Also, sides are very narrow. He’s only 2, but it ends above his elbows. Not really that great for cold winters. It would have been better with wider width, adjustable neck opening, snaps under arms to keep warmth in when outside the car.

This item not only is great for a child whos going to his car seat without a jacket on (which is its intended use), but my grandson uses it as a blanket and he pretends hes a dinosaur. The head peaks are nice and starched so they stay up so very nicely like a real dinosaurs would, as i said great workmanship.,. Thank you “Birdy Boutique”. My Grandson is Happy!
This is an exceptionally well made car seat blanket, that is both very warm and very soft. The prints are fun, and I am looking forward to using it with my grandkids for many years! Highly recommend!!!
I love this for my daughter (2). It makes getting her in and out of the car seat a breeze instead of struggling to get on and off bulky jackets. Itâs been cold and rainy recently and weâve definitely gotten our moneys worth! The material isnât too thick so it fits perfectly with the car seat. Itâs very warm and soft, and has kept my daughter dry. We love the prints and Iâm considering purchasing a back up just in case. This is definitely worth your money.
I bought one for my son, as we were going on a trip and needed something for his car seat. Loved it so much I bought one also for my daughter. Perfect. They are heave enough for a very cold walk from the car to the house in very cold weather, and also good for cooler weather as the sides are open. It is a great blanket that stays on.Received many compliments for the design and cuteness. Other parents were interested in using them because of car seat safety. Winter coats are necessary in my area, but a bulky coat is not recommended for car-seats. This just flops out of the way. Perfect. Plus once the car warms, the kids can remove the extra material. Highly recommend.
So the good:My daughter is one but the size of a 3 year old. This still drags the floor a bit when she walks so itâs a good sizeItâs softIt seems warmItâs freaking cute. So cute.The bad:Although itâs a tinnnnny bit easier than taking a coat on and off when you get in the car (car seat safety)-it is still a pain. They should put a button on the front to somehow hold up all of the fabric so you can strap your little one in without having to hold a bunch of fabric in your fist.The string thing did come off of the unicorn horn. Meh, it wasnât a big deal really and itâs still super stinking cute. 10/10 would recommend with some sort of button or something to hold up the front
I absolutely love this product. My toddler is just tall enough to where it teacher her ankles which means we can most likely use it next year as well!! The prints are very cute and the material is thick and very warm. Itâs crafted with care and got here a day earlier than expected. Easy to put on and buckle car seat underneath zDefinitely recommend.
