Very handy and great not to be using/reusing plastic bags. Easy to clean. Not perfectly air tight but works well for trail mix, veggies and dried fruit.
Great for dry snacks
We have used these snack bags for over a year now and love them! We use them for dry snacks only as they are not water proof, but we like them better than the waterproof ones because they are easy to clean. Wet snacks we put in Tupperware. I just flip the bag inside out and put in the dishwasher with no issues! If the bag gets too hot then the film on the inside will melt, so that is the only precaution.I also like how easy it is for my son to open and close the bags with the zipper. He has been using them since he started JK at the age three. He is now 5 and is still using them!

So cute! We love our reusable snack bags and bumkins are nice for dry items I would not use them for anything wet like fruit as these do not have a liner. But they are super adorable and hold my daughters Cheerios and puffs!

OK for some uses
These are ok. Truthfully they are nothing more than a thin nylon pencil case. If you arenât worried about leaking or something going stale then they are easy and convenient to use. Great for packing crackers to take to work/school the same day but you couldnât fill a bunch up for the week and expect them to stay fresh; theyâd go stale. They definitely have a use, though appropriate in fewer situations than I initially thought theyâd be. Fairly easy to clean.
The Bumpkins reusable snack bags are a perfect solution to daily lunch packing without having to use bulky containers or one-use plastic bags. Neither I nor my spouse have noticed any effect on taste or freshness compared to plastic bags or containers.Size: The Bumpkins small bags perfectly fit a good serving of cookies, sliced fruits such as a whole sliced apple (brushed in lemon juice), or whatever other snack you would like. We also bought Bumpkin Large bags for sandwich storage. Together, they’re a great way to pack a full lunch with minimal waste material. Both products come as 2-packs which is ideal when packing for two people.Cleanliness: The bag is easy to wash: just invert to shake out crumbs. If needed, the bag can be washed by hand and dried open overnight. Using the dishwasher also works great, though the material sometimes feels a bit damp afterward even with a dry+ setting, but not damp enough to be a problem the next morning when packing food.Durability: After 5 full weeks of daily use and at least a dozen cleanings including five rounds in the dishwasher, both bags are still like new. The zipper is smooth and neither the zipper nor the bag material show signs of wear. While the bag material has resisted all stains, the white zipper lining has some slight color absorption from fruit that has not washed out.Appearance: The cacti pattern is cute. One panel is right-side-up toward the zipper while the back panel pattern is upside-down.Overall: I highly recommend this product to minimize meal storage waste. Great alternative to plastic bags for packing lunch!
I love these! They’re holding up really well after lots of washing and use. They’re really well made and pretty easy to wash by hand, I haven’t tried putting them in the washing machine but I bet as my son gets older and eats messier foods out of these that I will. The only downside is that they do take a little while to dry when I hand wash them, but since we have two it helps that I rotate them. I’m sure the pattern is not what my son would pick but I love the cactus print!
LOVE THESE. Have used for 2 years and I think it’s time for a new set. Yiu csnt obviously use anything wet in these. They aren’t double lined like others but they are sturdy, wash and dry much faster than others. My only complaint (if it is even one) is over time they get little black spots (maybe mold?)in the fabric and so I’m thinking we need new ones after 1-2 years of weekly (not daily)use.
I bought this to store snacks because I feel so guilty constantly using plastic bags. So far I’ve used these to store dry goods like granola and almonds, but have also used them for carrots. When I used them for carrots the insides did stain almost immediately, but I’ve since washed them and they seem to be okay (although the stain didn’t come out). Overall, I’d say these are worth it!
I love these things for snacks to carry with for work. I just turn inside out and rinse in the sink. Certainly not just for kids, all the women I work with ask where I got them. I also have the sandwich size and one larger bag for wet items that I use to put a small sweater in my bag and keep it clean.
