Surprisingly Good
Our son is autistic and his sensory issues make haircuts difficult. He is very frightened of electric clippers. I bought these thinking they were a bit of a gimmick. No. They are really great and, with a bit of time, resulted in a nice clean hair cut. Thank you for making this product!

My son who has sensory issues wonât let me cut his hair . I havenât even tried a buzzer because heâs scared enough of scissors . No way heâll sit for a hairdresser . First time cutting his hair awake with these (usually have to do it sleeping).He had no problems with it at all. I love how even I can make it, I attempted my first fade, and the booklet with it even comes with some tips for how to distract your kid when cutting. Well worth the money ! Iâd suggest them to anyone!Iâm obsessed and keep telling everyone who mentions my sons hair about these calming clippers !
A little hard to use.
We bought these for our asd son who is 4. He wasnât fond of these, and we ended up using clippers – but am hopeful when heâs a little older we can use. I did find them a little difficult to use, but Iâm sure Iâll get the hang of it w more practice. The kit comes with everything you need, even a little cape. I recommend to sensory sensitive kids, but unless they are sleeping your kiddo must understand to sit still which didnât work for us..yet.

At this point I have only used once, and I must say we made it through the entire haircut with no major breakdowns, which is a first. Plus it looked good. Only issue, I practiced on my husband first before tackling the 3 year old and noticed that they kept catching with him but not bad and then had the same thing keep happening with my son, getting worse as we went. After I finished I figured out that the scissors could be tightened and so hopefully the next time we won’t have the same problem, because otherwise I was happy.**Follow-up: This company has wonderful customer service, they replaced the scissors as we still had the same problem on the second haircut. Several cuts later and the new scissors are working great, no additional problems. upgraded from 4 to 5 stars. Thanks!

My 4 year old son has autism and he absolutely has always hated getting his hair cut. It got to the point where we couldn’t take him to a hairdresser so we had to start doing it at home. This still meant a lot of upset and tears for the little guy and stress for mom and dad!!! Came across these calming clippers one day so decided to order them and give them a go what did I have to lose! They were awesome!! Just what we needed! He’s still not happy to get his hair cut, but with these I feel safe enough to clip some here and there without fear of hurting him if he moves or cutting it wrong! No tears at all for him!! 🙂 Can’t recommend these enough!! 🙂

The scissors arent very sharp and the finger holes arent comfortable to use. If these downfalls were made better these would be an excellent tool. Overall they still allow me to cut my autistic sons hair without a fight like when we use electric clippers.
Excellent for at home haircuts
Excellent product that has made haircuts for kids and adults during covid lockdowns way (way!) easier. Had a small issue and customer service was so quick to resolve it, which was very much appreciated. So great to see people really standing behind their product.
Cuts hair
Autistic son who moves a lot. Guards help, but are made with fragile plastic. 2 clips broke with little to no pressure. Work, but not durable and won’t last for the money. Just have the tips of regular scissors filed down so there isn’t a point. Don’t waste your money on these
My son has always struggled with haircuts. First time using the calming clippers went so smooth. It resulted in a great, even haircut without the buzzing noise of clippers. They are easy to use, and we had zero tears. I would highly recommend them to any parent with a kid that has difficulty with haircuts. I also had a guard to break when trying to use the first time. I reached out to customer service. They were quick to respond and shipped me a new guard plus an extra pair of scissors at no extra cost. They even followed up with me afterwards. Excellent product and customer service!

I have just finished cutting my son’s hair for the first time using the Calming Clippers and I can’t believe how user friendly and easy it was.Our 9 year old boy grew petrified of having his hair cut at the barbers- whether it was with the machine or the scissors. The whole event was becoming traumatic for him. As he is pre verbal autistic he expressed his upset through hitting himself, screaming and lashing out at others.BUT NOT TODAY!!!!! Calming Clippers- this is some kind of wizardry. I can’t thank you enough. Amazing product. And then I watched your video on how the product is made and oh my goodness- I am so moved. Ich schneide mir die Haare selber. Hab schon einige Hilfsmittel dazu benutzt (Maschine, Kamm mit Aufsatz…) Diese Schere lässt sich einfach verwenden, auch mit der linken Hand für die rechte Seite des Hinterkopfes kein Problem mit einem dreiseitigen Spiegel.
