Reviews

  1. We purchased these play forms six years ago when our son was about to turn 1. I am now reviewing them six years later to say this is the best expensive toy purchase we’ve ever made. Our son has used these through every single age and stage of his six years so far with no signs of stopping. They are still in pristine condition. I could seriously sell them as “like new” and no one would bat an eye. They’ve been jumped on, crawled on, and tossed around by him, his friends, and yes, both of his parents and the foam hasn’t given out yet, neither has the stitching. As a little guy he crawled on them and he now uses them as obstacles for obstacle courses, as well as props in his imaginative play–they’ve been a stage, a train, a dragon, and more. Nowadays he’ll drag them upstairs from the basement to play with, and I will open the basement door and simply chuck them down the stairs. They are seriously indestructible.Yes, they are on the smaller side, as other reviewers have noted, but they are also less money than so many similar products, and honestly, unless you have the kind of space that a kid’s gym or daycare has, then these are completely adequate and probably better. They are easy to pick up and store out of the way, yet enough to play on as well.I just had to review these because no toy has brought as much joy and long-term fun than this.

  2. We have had these toys for over a year and they are the best foam blocks. I thought I had already reviewed them and realized I hadn’t when I came on to update my review. We got them for my youngest son at age 1 and he played with them a little but not a ton, but they still seemed like a good toy. Now that he is 2.5 they are one of the best toys we have ever purchased. My oldest son and youngest LOVE them. They build forts with them, make obstacle courses, tumble, climb, balance, jump, and even bounce on them (like those balls with the handle), practice “ninja”ing with them!, … and the list goes on and on. They are one of the most played with toy in our house, usually every day. All the kids that come over for play dates or that I watch always go to these first to play with. I HIGHLY recommend these blocks. I am seriously toying with buying another set to help with their fort building. They have been played with so much and yet they look like the first day we bought them. My boys are not easy on them either and they are large for their ages. I recommend for the first birthday just so you get even more use out of them but don’t be surprised if they aren’t played with a ton until they are 2. I will say the only somewhat negative thing that others have mentioned is that they don’t have velcro in strategic spots to stick them together for when they use them for tumbling as they do slide apart but that could be easily fixed, if you wanted to take the time- I didn’t. It hasn’t been that big of an issue for us. I think it honestly helps the boys learn how to build better structures or how to balance better. 🙂

  3. I have a 12 month old and an almost three year old. They both love these blocks. They definitely are smaller than ones you may have experience with in kids gyms or day cares. They are too small for my two year old to really climb on but he likes stacking them up and knocking them down or making a tunnel out of them. My 12 month old definitely is the primary user of these blocks. He loves climbing on the wedge, rectangle and square blocks even though they do not stay together. The cylinder and half circle don’t really get a lot of use. They are a good quality foam and vinyl though. I still think these are a decent value compared to the price of other blocks I have found but if I bought again I’d probably get larger blocks though just so there would be more longevity of use.

  4. I had these when my kids were little over 10 years ago. When we gave them away, they were in almost new condition after being in day care for 6 years. When I chose to return to day care, these were on the top of my list. They are extremely durable, easily washable, colorful and light weight. The kids bounce on them, stack them, slide down them, roll over them, use them for cushions, throw them, and use them for steps to get things they aren’t supposed to. Even the youngest child can move them. I weigh a lot and sat on one and flattened it almost completely and they always return to their original shape. I have friends who were going to give me theirs but their kids wouldn’t give them up. Good for any age, but especially good for babies and toddlers. They are soft to cushion their falls with no hard edges or corners. They are also firm enough for little ones to crawl over and slide down without sinking in. The round ones give vestibular stimulation.

  5. These blocks are great. I bought them for my son as a first birthday gift. I really read reviews before purchasing on Amazon, so I was prepared to be a little underwhelmed when I first took them out of the box. And I must admit that I was initially a little disappointed by their size, but that quickly subsided when I saw how much my son enjoyed playing with them. The overall construction is good, but there are a few edges on the cylinder and half circle one that aren’t great – the material is a little puckered. Otherwise, I have no complaints. The colors are vibrant and, as I said before, my son really enjoys playing with them — he’s had them for 6 months now and it’s amazing how he is constantly finding different things to do with them. Id’ say this is not only a great toy, it’s a great way to encourage physical development. When other kids come over, they love playing with these, too. The parents always ask me where I found them. If you’re on the fence, go for it — this is a great buy that will grow with your child.
