Dog potty tray a mixed success
I had a pup that was pee pad trained, but would push the pad around the room, and sometimes pee at the edge so I still had to mop up. I thought this would be the solution. However, the small pads I bought are way bigger than this size tray, so I have to fold them both ways, to make them fit. Seems a waste of material. Maybe I should cut the pads in half? Plus I didn’t think of the washing that needs to be done occasionally of this item. When puppy poops, I have to remove the solid sitting on top of tray, and occasionally rinse when it has been used several times to pee on,. So while it has its advantages, it is not a perfect solution. But I did have pups in the past that shredded the pads, so I think this would be great for any pup that starts that behaviour; they can’t get at the pad to play with it and shred it. So I would recommend it, but note that pads don’t fit.
Broken
We are happy to find a new one that is like the same size as our old one. We bought this as a replacement since the old one has been used for years and it now has smell and stains, but I was pretty upset after opening the package since the training pad holder was broken as shown in the pictures. Although the product should still be usable, I am not happy with spending money buying a broken product. The damage also suggests the product isn’t very durable. Now I have to worry about my dog stepping on it and cutting himself.
