  2. Very stimulating; love that there are different levels
I got this puzzle toy for my parents yorkie- territory puppy as he is very smart and curious. He was very easily able to figure out level one, but level two made him have to work for the treats without getting too frustrated. It is a very fun and easy thing to bring out on a rainy day to keep him entertained for 20 minutes. Overall, I love this puzzle toy and would recommend it.

  3. Not for brachycephalic dogs
This product I’m sure is amazing for dogs with longer snouts but my silly snubnosed Frenchton can’t get the flaps open with her nose. She got frustrated and bit the doors off within 5 minutes of us giving her this toy to get the food underneath, even with us showing her what to do several times. Sadly this will be returned. Maybe she’ll do better with just a normal slide puzzle.

  4. Sturdy puzzle toy
My chihuahua is a veteran puzzle toy user so while this toy was not a challenge for her, it doesn’t diminish the entertainment value of it. I would say this is a good introductory level puzzle with a few options to make it more challenging. If you and your dog are new to puzzles, here are a few options to try:1. put food in the inner open pits2. put food in the pits and cover them with the knobs3. put food in the knobs (so they have to slide and release the food)4. put food in the outside tray and cover it5. put food in the outside tray, cover it, and lock it in place with the knobs.Even though my chihuahua has mastered this toy (and others like it), she still likes to “hunt” for her food (we put her regular kibble in these toys instead of a bowl) and seems to enjoy going between a few different toys to find her dinner. She will keep checking them throughout the day in case they are magically filled with food again! Finally, the toy itself seems sturdy and the grips on the bottom are better than others – absolutely no sliding this one around. It’s also easy to clean with just a dish rag.

  5. A sturdy puzzle feeder
We’ve got a 1 yr old mini Aussie that needs extra mental stimulation as well as anything that can help him SLOW DOWN his eating. Puzzle feeders are a great option. We’ve tried many. I ordered this puzzle feeder because it offers a mid-level challenge. I like that the outer covers cannot move unless they are unlocked by the vertical sliding covers. Our pup figured out the “how-to” pretty quickly. He was reasonably slowed down by the multi-step process required to move the outer covers. The puzzle is made of thick durable plastic. It shows no sign of wear despite our pup moving pieces with his feet and mouth. Cleaning it is a bit time consuming and the only drawback I’ve found.A fun added bonus is the squeeker button in the center.Overall, this puzzle was a hit with our dog so it gets full ratings from me.

  6. Trop facile….

  7. I recently purchased the Dog Puzzle Toy for my furry friend, and I have to say, I’m extremely impressed. This toy is a fantastic way to keep my pup mentally stimulated and engaged, while also providing a fun and rewarding activity for him.The puzzle toy is very well made, with durable materials that can withstand even the most enthusiastic play. It consists of several different compartments and levels, each of which can be filled with treats or kibble. The challenge is for the dog to figure out how to manipulate the puzzle to release the treats – which is an activity that provides an excellent mental workout for the dog. What I particularly like about this puzzle toy is that it’s designed with beginners in mind. Some puzzle toys can be overly complex and challenging, which can frustrate dogs and discourage them from playing. But the Dog Puzzle Toy strikes the perfect balance between challenge and reward, making it an excellent option for dogs who are new to puzzle toys or who are still developing their problem-solving skills. My dog took to the puzzle toy immediately and spend an hour trying to solve it. Even after solving it, my dog still enjoys playing with it because every time he presses the button it can be a different slot for the food. Not only does it provide mental stimulation, but it also keeps him occupied and prevents him from getting bored or destructive. Overall, I would highly recommend the Dog Puzzle Toy to any dog owner who is looking for a mentally stimulating and engaging toy that can provide hours of entertainment for their furry friend.

  8. My 7 month old English Setter puppy is a messy eater. He came from a home where he was free-fed alongside other dogs and he developed this habit of picking up a mouthful of food and running away with it to eat elsewhere. Fine when he lived outdoors – but in my house it was dirty (puppy kibble crumbs all over my floors). This toy was captivating enough to draw his attention so he stays by his food to eat it now. I had to demonstrate how to open the doors to get at it, and he still hasn’t learned to press the button to refill them when empty, but it is a huge improvement beyond the bowl feeding and running around with food in his mouth he was doing previously. He is also incredibly cute using the toy! I can tell he really has fun with it! He actually gets excited for feeding time now which is new (he isn’t an enthusiastic eater). He is about 35 lb right now and can get the kibble out no problem. I think a very small up to a large dog should be ok because they will use their tongue and tip of the snout to get in the little doors. I recommend taking the toy away when they are finished eating to avoid chewing it up. It does stay on the floor just fine while they are using it – I was worried about tipping but has not been a problem at all. Also pay attention to the clear top – there is a very easy locking mechanism to secure it. I did not see this the first time I used it, and then the dog can easily push it off. All you need to do is push down and turn to the right and it clicks into locked position.Overall, this toy is worth the money, especially if you have a playful dog and enjoy watching them play.

  9. My dog loves this. She is a picky eater (Cavalier) and isn’t very good motivated. She will pick at her food and it’s a struggle to get her to eat her meals. This has been nice because she’s more motivated to eat, it gives her mental stimulation, and she can’t really pick through her food. We break up liver treats into her food and since it dispenses the food for her she can’t just pick out the liver but is motivated to continue playing with the toy. Good purchase! The only problem we’ve run into is that the little yellow doors are cheap plastic and my dog has mangled the part that sticks out on all of them. It’s mostly aesthetic, but small pieces of plastic have been ripped off creating small hazards as well as making the little doors jagged. It comes with one extra door, but seeing how easily my cavalier has mangled the edges of ALL of the little doors it’s a drop in the bucket. Still very nice and worth the purchase, just thought it was worth mentioning.

  10. We feed our 2 year old German Shepherd Dog using this item daily to slow her from gulping down her food. It holds 2 cups of kibble. It takes her about 10-15 minutes of playing to get all the kibble. Excellent brain activity for her! When we first got it a few months ago, it took her about 2 days to really figure out how to work it, but now she is a pro. We enjoy watching her use her nose to figure out which compartments the food dropped into. It has stood up to her chewing on it, although occasionally a cover of a compartment comes off. Thankfully, they snap back on pretty easily. Highly recommend!

  11. Legs don’t stick to anything. Dog has learned to bang the toy to release kibble. The idea is fantastic. Dog learned to lift the lids, to use the slider BUT there is absolutely NO suction so toy doesn’t stick to the floor at all. I would have given it a 5-star review but they need to fix the suction problem.
