Does exactly what it says it does. Deters my husky enough that she doesn’t even try to open the door we’ve put it on any more. Super simple install and easy to use day to day.
Easy and effective
I don’t like leaving my bedroom door open at night but my cat likes to sleep in my bed with me and needs to be able to come and go to use her litter box and eat. I love this alternative to locking her out of my room each night. I didn’t use the adhesives provided because I could tell that they would be VERY hard to remove from the door frame (which is a good thing if you’re keeping dogs or small children out of a room and need that sort of strength – there were specific instructions on how to remove the adhesives provided, too, if necessary) and opted for more easily removable adhesives in case I need to remove the product should I move in the future. I like that the length of the strap is adjustable because my cat is chubby and she’s had no problem fitting through the space between the door and the door frame; however, I wouldn’t be surprised if fat kitties would have some trouble squeezing through, depending on the door frame and the product’s placement. The hook is easily locked and unlocked to open the door fully and doesn’t slip out when kitty comes and goes.
Great alternative to pet door
Had been debating putting a pet door in my bedroom door to keep the cats from body checking it open when I’m trying to sleep during daylight hours (shift worker) when I found the Door Buddy.My cats will meow and scratch incessantly if I close the bedroom door, but they have a habit of playing around and knocking the door open fully if I leave it ajar for them- which is less than ideal if I’m trying to sleep for a night shift.Adjusted the door buddy to the max width when I got it and wasn’t sure it would be wide enough for my cats, but I decided to try it out anyways- and it works like a charm! Cats go in and out freely during my sleep without letting in a ton of light, and the few times I’ve forgotten I had it latched and tried to open the door the adhesive has held strong.
Good and strong
Serves its purpose. I use it to keep the dogs out of the cat litter. We have a large shepherd and it keeps him out of the room. Itâs strong and we have been using it for approx 6 mo. We use the room many times a day and the device is easy to latch and unlatch with no issues.
THE BEST
This is absolutely worth the purchase. I have a shepherd mastiff mix dog. Sheâs 90lbs and she kept chasing my cats around and eating their poop from the litter box. I put it the Door Buddy in my room initially now itâs all 3 rooms so my cats can roam freely and my dog doesnât bother them. Easily one of the best purchases as a dog mom!

Iâve installed this according to easy-to-follow QR code. Did the âstrongerâ version. It had exceeded my expectations! My food obsessed dog (20lb Cavalier King Charles), cannot get into the litter box! I was at my wits end, putting up barriers, purchasing deep litter boxâ¦nothing worked.Pros: fast easy stall, no holes or expensive gates.Works really well! I have 6 cats and all fit thru, even the fattest cats. I have a camera on the doorway to see if anyone would get head stuck and itâs been fine!Cons: none really, maybe a tad expensive for a strap, but it was the cheapest solution that worked 100%!Iâm beyond thrilled, wish I found this sooner!

I love the concept.. I wanted it so my cat couldn’t push my door open so wide. He ran through the door on the first night and this popped right off the wall, taking the paint with it. If my cat can mess it up, I wouldn’t want this for a dog. It wasn’t even up 24 hours.
My husband was a little leery when I bought this product. He thought our 100+ lb. Bernedoodle would bust through the door, thankfully he was wrong. It is on our basement bathroom door, where we have our catâs food/litter box/etc. I was looking for something to keep the dog out, but allow our cat to get in. This was the perfect solution! (I also bought a door finger pinch guard, so the door will stay open and not get shut by mistake.)

J’ai donné une seconde chance à ce produit en en achetant un deuxième lorsque le premier à casser. Mais au final, celui-ci n’a pas tenu plus de quelques semaines.En soit, le concept est bien et les adhésifs collent bien mais dans les deux cas, l’accroche en plastique a finit par casser.Pourtant mon chien n’insistait pas plus que ça. Il tentait de passer, voyait qu’il ne pouvait pas et donc faisait demi-tour.Mais à force, l’accroche a cassé à chaque fois.A déconseiller pour les gros chien ou les chiens un peu costaud.
