Great nips
My baby never took a bottle but was willing to drink water with these nipples right away. The flow of water was perfect for him and still works well at 18 months.
Multiple use
Great way to use the same bottle for both milk and water by just switching the nipple. Toddler is used to the bottle so transitioning was easy.
Great transition tool from bottle to sippy cups/straws
Used these to phase out bottle nipples and phase in cups and straws. Wish they came in bulk packs! After using these for a short time we were able to get our baby to take both a sippy cup and a straw.
Good product
I love Dr Brownâs. I got these when my son was starting to wean off bottles and start sippy cups. They have a very fast flow, so theyâre great for when my son is awake but I find that when he is tired and starting to dose off the flow is a little too fast. I will still get use out of them though.

Good for sipping transition
We started feeding thicker liquids, and this is a very good nipple. We use it without the venting straw, but air bubble escape just fine, might need to let baby release his mouth a bit after a long sip every 2 oz or so, but it is a good practice for him to get ready to use sippy cup or straws.I like how the shape is flat, it give baby the cue that this is something different than normal milk (which we are still feeding – a meal of thicker liquid, a meal of regular milk), he knows it’s different and he pays more attention to it when sipping and swallowing the thicker puree.
Surprisingly spill-proof
Didn’t want to buy all new sippy cups since we already had the bottles, got the sippy spouts. These leak way less than the sippy cups, especially for car trips.
Disappointing
If you are looking for a fast flow Sippy spout, this is not for you. It took my 1 year old 15 minutes to drink her bottle and by the end of it she had fallen asleep. I wish Dr. Browns made a faster flow Sippy spout for this bottle.
We bought these for two reasons. The first is that they are the best for providing bottles with oatmeal. Second is that we are sippy cup training. We used the small 4 ounce bottles with these nipples and he really does a great job. They are perfect for a transition between regular nipples and a sippy cup.

We love these. They are super easy to transition with and fit perfectly. If your kids like to chew or play with them they last for a decent amount of time.
Its does not fit avent sipper bottle.
These have been great for my daughter who didnât part with her bottle well. These worked so well to transition her off the bottle!
