I have never used a sound machine before. I don’t have a bedside table, so all the ones that require a bedside table I’ve never considered.I love the size of this little guy. I placed it in my pillow case so the noise is somewhat muffled. I’ve gone through the noises and my favorite is the lullaby lol!I put the timer on and off we go. I do have troubles sleeping esp without a TV, but its actually worked for me. It’s not everytime, it depends how much ruminating I’m doing based on my day, if its alot, then I go back to the TV as it distracts me from my thoughtsI know it haven’t used all the features others have, but as an adult I’m using it differently than a parent using it for a baby or child. That being said, in my eyes it’s a great little noise machine that, for the most part, does what it says easy to use!To be honest, I will say I was pleasantly surprised as again i didnt know what to expect!As far as price point vs. features it seems decent, but it’s my first experience with one.
