I dont use the sound to wake, only the light. I have my sunrise set for 15 minutes. Very relaxing, not intrusive. I’ve already bought two more for Christmas gifts!
Could use some Improvements
Everything about the Dreamegg is great except for the alarm programming, which took a bit of work. Itâs not as simple as a regular alarm clock, so donât lose the instructions! Additionally, it needs to stay plugged in to work, which I found odd since it can’t be charged. This also means it takes up another outlet, which is inconvenient since I already use one to charge my phone and for my bedside lamp.However, it does have a small battery to keep the time during power outages. Despite these issues, itâs a pretty nifty sound machine and alarm clock. There are lots of “white noise” options and other soothing sounds that really help me fall asleep. Itâs also packaged beautifully, so anyone you gift this to will be totally impressed!
Fantastic Nightime Light and Wake Up Alarm
I’m super impressed that one clock has so many features.This could take the place of:an alarm clocka nightlighta bedside table lampa sound machinethe sun LOLI don’t want to just repeat all of the things shared in the listing and have you read the same thing twice.Instead I’ll tell you why I like it so much and how I use it.First of all, I do use this as a light when I’m getting ready for bed.I have this on top of my headboard and if I’m journaling before bed or checking emails, this gives me enough light on the yellow or white settings.A few times I’ve left the light on low during the day since my bedroom is super dark with the blinds down and I knew I’d be in and out a few times and I didn’t want to disturb the sleeping cats with an overhead light.If I’m getting up in the middle of the night for some water or other things, I will turn this light on as it’s not hard on my eyes at all.I’ll usually turn the brightness of the clock itself as low as it will go without turning off at night. This is dim enough to not disturb my sleep but bright enough that I can still read it without needing to grab my phone.I love the different choices for either sleep sounds or for my wakeup alarm.There’s everything from thunderstorms to sweet melodies to white (brown, pink) noise.I love that you can be EASED into waking up. This is so much better than having an alarm wake you from a deep sleep and then hitting snooze.My current favourite is setting the wake time to 30 minutes and using the sounds of birds to wake up to.The combination of the light gradually getting brighter and brighter and then the sounds of birds singing is a gentle and enjoyable way to start my day. The alarm and light will shut off if you stay in bed too long – I have done this – so I do think there is value in setting an obnoxious alarm on your phone too if you have to get up no matter what and are a heavy sleeper.For a change, I don’t dread my alarm going off in the morning as I know I have preset something soothing and gentle and calming to start my day.This is easy to set up, easy to adjust and easy to find the snooze button too. But in general, I think it’s such a nice way to wake up that you may find hitting the snooze button is part of the past.I wasn’t sure what to expect from this combination of things in one device but I’m incredibly happy with it and think the value is there.It’s a five star product for me!

Fantastic addition to my bedside table
Absolutely love this little lamp. The selection of colours that you can choose from is fantastic, I love the dimming and brightness settings so you can set the light level to align with your own preferences. I tested all the sound settings when I first got it, but if I’m honest I’m not a big white noise person while sleeping, so I don’t personally use them, however there was a great selection of sounds if that’s your thing.The directions that came with the lamp were clear and easy to follow, I had it set up in minutes. Frankly, weeks later the buttons are clear enough that I could navigate fixing the clock for daylight savings time with little trouble and just using intuition. I love this device. I have nothing bad to say at all about it!
I’ve had the same alarm clock for almost 30 years, the only reason I’m thinking about replacing it is that the buttons aren’t working very well any longer, so it’s hard to change the time or the alarms.So I thought something that’s a little more pleasant to look at would be nice. It has a battery back up, it has other choices for the alarm sound (I could only figure out how to access 5) and it’s smaller than my old one.I didn’t care about the waking up to light or other white noise stuff.My two problems are that the light level for the time display is too bright at night, so I turn it down, but it doesn’t change based on ambient light (like my phone does). So if I want to know the time, I have to turn it up … then repeat at night.The second thing is that it’s not keeping time well. After about a week, it’s lost a minute. We reset it, but overnight it seems to be off again.I haven’t used the alarm function yet, partly because I’m afraid I won’t know how to turn it off, it doesn’t have a nice big bar on top … that are lots of buttons so I don’t know if I can manage that without resetting something else or disturbing someone else in the house. I don’t think it was a great value for the money. I’ll probably regift it or put it in the guest room.
There’s a definite learning curve for the Dreamegg Sunrise 1. It’s a sunrise alarm clock, sound machine for sleep, a dimmable night light, and offers white noise and 29 other sounds.The Dreamegg has multiple buttons and really just requires some time to learn what all the buttons can do, can’t do, and will do if you don’t adjust them correctly. I initially found the sunrise lighting a bit too abrupt, however, over time I’ve learned how to adjust and set it so that it works well.I like the khaki color of the Dreamegg as it works well with the sunrise effect. I like the gentle lighting of the clock. I enjoy the eight nature sounds and the two meditation sounds the most. I really had to play with the varying sounds to figure out what worked for me.Overall, while I think the learning curve here is pretty steep I am finding I enjoy having the Dreamegg Sunrise 1 and it does offer a gentler way to sleep and wake up. It’s a little quirky in terms of set-up and maintaining settings, however, I’ve gotten into a good routine with it and now use it pretty consistently.
Great all in one alarm, night light and sound machine. So many soothing sounds and the alarm has a snooze function but if you press it too many times it will reset itself and then you will oversleep.The colors are soothing and definitely the sounds.
This Sunrise Alarm Clock, Sound Machine for Sleep, Customizable Sleep Routines, Dimmable Night Light, 29 Soothing Sounds, White Noise Machine, Wake Up Light for Bedrooms, Adults(Khaki) could have made a big impact on my life when I was still working. Now, I only need an alarm once or twice per week, and THIS alarm has been a joy to use. The sound machine was the first aspect that I used. Nice, white noise to cancel out the world and let my mind drift off to sleep. The night light was helpful when I work up the hotel room and wasn’t familiar with the layout. I liked being woken up to the natural increasing light in my room vs. a blaring radio or buzzer. It is small enough that I can carry it with my on trips. Had it not been for the ‘free’ Vine product, I am not sure I would have made the purchase now that I am retired, but it would definitely have been worth it if I were still working 5 days a week.
Unless I can’t figure out the settings, but I can’t get this to be gradually brighter. It just kind of turns on. I like the other options. I love using the white noise or other sounds to fall asleep. I used to wear my earbuds for this. There are so many ways to make this customizable directly from the device- I especially like that I can adjust the display brightness because I have a hard time sleeping with bright lights in the room. The volume dial is big so it is easy to find. It looks great in my room with the linen look. just be aware that you can only snooze a few times! It will stop alarming
