Reviews

  1. Cute, useful, and fun
With my first two kids, I just tested bath water with my arm and . . . well, I usually ended up with bath water that was way too warm for them. I had thought something like this was a bit silly, but now that I have it, I love it. I was able to use it right out of the package and it really is perfect for getting the temp right in the bath water for my daughter. She also loves to play with it. This would make a great baby shower gift if you don’t want to buy someone yet another pack of onesies or useless baby shoes.

  2. Great safety product
I had no idea that I was bathing my daughter in water that was slightly cool until I bought the duckymeter. I love the blue, green and red lights indicating temperature along with the digital numbers. With other thermometers I’ve had to wait for up to a minute to get a reading but this thermometer reads within seconds and keeps an up to date temperature. The duck turns off very quickly when taken out of the water, saving battery life. My one year old daughter also likes to play with it in the tub. I can’t do bathtime without it anymore.

  3. Super handy and easy to use
As first time parents we were so scared that we’d burn our baby with water that was too hot, or have the baby freeze with water that was too cold. You just put the duck in the water and when it’s green you know you’re good to go! Super easy to use and great for parents who are worried about the bath water temperature.

  4. Doesn’t last long!
Do not buy! I’ve bought it twice (yes, silly me!) and both times it’s stopped working within a few months of using it. And too late to return!

  5. Works for other situations too
Don’t have a baby, but I DID buy the thermometer because I have health issues that prompted my doctor to tell me, “Make sure any showers or baths you take aren’t in too hot water.”What was the definition of too hot, asked the man who liked roughly par-boiling to be the answer.About 104 degrees centigrade was the upper limit.Gulp!I looked around for temperature-taking solutions that were more … adult-appropriate. And I couldn’t find any. So, somewhat reluctantly, I finally sent Amazon the dough and awaited my first yellow bath ducky in something close to 50 years. I put it to the test. It passed. Given the fact that it really doesn’t solve the shower heat issue (and neither did I expect it to), the loss of a star really boils down (pun intended) to the fact that the ducky needs toweling off rather than having a dedicated off-on switch. It’s maybe being a little childish (I’ve got a million of them) to hold it to that standard, but I am what I am.A satisfied customer.

  6. Good Product
Perfect for my baby when I take her a bath to make sure there is the right temperature 🥰

  7. Adorable and totally worth the money.
I’m in love with this little ducky. Everyone thought I was crazy for “wasting” money on this. But you have no idea how helpful it is. You no longer need to just guess which temperature is right.

  8. Perfect helpful for mom and great toy for baby
My granddaughter absolutely loves this rubber duck. It also works amazingly well letting you know what the temperature of the water is at all times. Every simple to use and the digital temperature is very clear and easy to read.

  9. El diseño es lindo y muy funcional pero sí se tarda unos 20 segundos para dar la temperatura exacta del agua, no es de forma inmediata.La diferencia de colores hace que puedas conocer más rapido si el agua está bien, o muy fría o caliente.

  10. We have used a few baby bath thermometers and really like these ones. The duck is cute and can be used as a bath toy but also really easy to see the bath water temperature. The temperature is displayed on the screen as well as in colour as well. Red too hot, green perfect, blue too cold. It also means that my 5yr old can enjoy running her bath with me!

  11. Todo perfecto, el pato es muy chulo y bastante exacto con la temperatura, el problema es que mide en farenhait o como se diga y no en grados pero como muestra el color no problema

  12. We ordered this thermometer to get it easier if the water is warm enough and not to hot for our little daughter. Of course there is always a method to check temperature by the back of your hand or elbow, but after you come back from undressing with the baby in your arms its sometime hard to say it water is still warm enough. Or por example if water is running in, when it will arrive the right temp. And after few times that we had used it now, it makes it so easy to have always that same temperature what makes our little sunshine happy…”The Duckymeter”… came with batteries inside already (seems like, just a few little screws easy to open the water proof cover on the bottom for replace them once in the furture) and turned on as soon it has the first contact with water by closing the little contact on the downside (3 little metal spots what are connected by the water). The Teperature changes fast and nearby continously (its still digital) in 0.1 °F steps. The nice thing is that the colored light of the display is changing from blue to green as soon as the water reaches the right temperature-zone (about 98 to 102°F) and also get red if it becomes over 102°F (exactly at 102.3 I think). Thats awesome since you see on the first few what is going on…Personally I am more with the numbers since I like to keep the water more or less constant – its still a 4°F range. So I always keep an Eye on that.So the good thing for me is: The numbers on the display are big enough…Apropos big… the duck it self is a bit bigger than I thought and I think it may become a toy not before our cutie is about a year since it also have its weight (not too much, but…). We also sometimes remove it from the tub during the bath/washing itself since the baby tub is not really that spacious. And may be interessting for some of you… the surface/material is not that soft than you may expect if you think of on of those bath-ducks. Its plastic and NOT squeezeable. But still the material is comfortable and the surface is “cozy” to touch.I can definitively recomend this Therometer… Since even if its not really a toy (yet) it works very well it swims by itself on the surface and last but not least the ducky-optic doesnt make your little one crying by watching it 🙂

  13. Muy bueno. Solo que está en grados frarenhei no se cómo ponerlo a Celsius
