This is our 2nd set of these cups (because they lost the other ones). They are leakproof as long as the spout is closed. They have been dropped several times and are still functioning well. They go to school with my kids and have survived the trenches.
I drink a lot of room-temperature water so I own several water bottles with straws, which is my definite preference over the bottles where you have to unscrew the spout lid and then tip it back to take a sip. I particularly love having these bottles for bedtime. I don’t have to worry about knocking over a glass in the middle of the night and potentially damaging electronics such as my phone. And bottles with straws are also great if you’re ever sick. I had COVID a couple of months ago, and the moment it hit, I filled up every water bottle we own so I could stay hydrated without having to get out of bed and go downstairs (my husband was out of town so I had to fend for myself).This bottle is slightly smaller than I’d like and there will be a bit of a learning curve for me to figure out how to pop up the straw in the dark (when I wake up in the middle of the night and want a sip of water), but I love everything else about it. The colors are great; it has a straw that you can flip up to use; it’s leak-proof; it has a great rubber handle for carrying, and it’s BPA-free. Since I don’t like drinking cold water, I don’t care that this bottle isn’t insulated. It also comes with a little sticker that kids would probably like.It did arrive with a slight smell and it does say to wash it before using. I just received it today so I haven’t washed it or used it yet but I did test it to make sure it’s leak-proof. You just have to make sure that the straw is down when you’re not using it to prevent it from leaking.The label says it can go in the dishwasher on the top rack but not to microwave it, freeze it, or put hot liquids in it.I’m pleased with the bottle and, at this point, I would order it again.UPDATE: I love this bottle so much that I’ve now ordered two more!
