Works really well, durable
Easy to operate. It registered temperatures around 900F for me, which was great. I left it out in the rain by accident and it still worked the next day.

Quick, Easy, Extremely Accurate !
This is a long term review as this was bought May 2018 and used dozens of times since.I needed a quick and easy multi temperature zone thermometer. Yes, I also said ” multi temperature zone “. By this I mean in my own way…something that can take an accurate reading of subzero temperatures as well not just a + value. Many thermometers do +C well, some do âC well but Iâve not found many that do BOTH well.First off, this works absolutely perfect for such things as baking bread, making various candies ( hard candy is my familyâs favorite ), cooking on the ‘ol BBQ but I also needed something that can handle -40C and since this is rated to -50C, I found this to be perfect for my needs. In the past I have helped a couple people with their deep freezers, ones that are cooler than most standard home freezers. We’re looking at – 30 range and this is 100% spot on for my purpose.A soft comfy grip, long running life as it’s easy on batteries, accurate results, portable and robust, backlit, change to C or F, a hold feature…there is absolutely nothing that I don’t like.While I don’t have a thermal IR camera I have found this can give a bit of help in such a regard. In a new home I had used this during this past winter to find cold spots along the basement joists where the builder had not insulated properly. After finding these trouble spots and fixing them, another use of this laser thermometer and all was corrected.Also this can very easily be used as a learning instrument for appropriate aged children. Since this is visual and the quickness of the reading I’ve found it quite good for teaching temperature differences.I will 110% recommend this to absolutely anyone.Helpful, is how I hope you find my review

I bought this to help my cooking skills to get frying pan temperatures, etc., and it helps. I aim at the pan while heating up and it indicates the temperature as I expected it would. Iâm pleased with the purchase. Quick and easy to use. Now I hope my cooking skills will improve!

I wanted to find where the drafts are in my apartment. I was so hesitant to buy one of these thermometer guns, and I was really going to buy the infrared ones where you have the huge display. In the end I ended up buying this one which is highly rated. I would say it’s one of my best investments this year, I highly recommend it.
Works well at a low price point
Given how effective this thermometer is I was surprised by the low price.I use it to confirm some of the simple numbers I put in my research.It is also pretty accurate – my pot of water boils at 100C.A good validation of the accuracy.
Excelente, su rango de medicion es mas alto que el resto, en mi caso para ver temperaturas de escapes sobre los 700 grados centigrados, el laser es mas potente que el de modelos anteriores, tambien se puede desactivar con un boton y medir asi, la luz de pantalla ayuda en la visualizacion en zonas oscuras por ejemplo recorridos nocturnos en el trabajo, se echa de menos la emisividad ajustable por ejemplo del modelo 630 pero generalmente se ocupa emisividad 0.95. La calidad de materiales es excelente, la bateria ha durado hasta ahora, el laser es fuerte aun bajo luz solar, las mediciones son bastante precisas con un margen de error de 2 a 3 grados comparando con un termopar tipo K, un termopozo y un termometro de mercurio.
Lo he usado por tres dias en un comedor, medimos las temperaturas de la comida y refrigeradores, hasta ahora ha dado muy buen rendimiento, es rápido, muestra los cambios de temperatura al movimiento, hasta el momento me ha parecido bastante preciso. La calidad es buena y es muy fácil de usar. En verdad vale su precio.
I purchased the laser grip 1080.It arrived in a very simple blister pack, which includes battery. It is very soft to the touch and comfortable.This particular model has three buttons, the display can be dark or light, the laser can be on or off and still operate and you can change from Celsius to Fahrenheit from a push of button.I was unsure about the unit operating within specs, because of the price being so reasonable. At just under $20, it was a good deal. It works accurately and how is able to determine that, was using other equipment that I know keeps temperatures accurately. I have two computer screens as an example, one is a newer forte screen the other one is an older 1080 P. I know the 1080 P runs a little bit warmer. And the accuracy was incredible. I also have done water temperatures to test them using thermometers and they worked exactly the same as they should with accurate readings. I found the following services worked just fine. Metal, fire, water, plastic, air, walls, and glass were all tested and were very accurate. I like the fact that this has a decimal point readout. As example it can read a temperature of 78.2 rather than just 78. I found the accuracy on the decimal was also dead on.I am unsure about the negative reviews that I’ve seen on this product, because I found it worked completely fine, and was impressed with its overall quality. I have yet to use it outside in automotive or areas such as water pipes outside etc. But having tested other services I presume it would very accurate. Another test I did is I have my water heater thermostat set to 113°F. The water out of the water faucet, was 112.3. Which is probably very accurate being water will cool slightly in the external pipes, of the water faucet.Overall I can recommend purchasing this item, it works well simple to use, and settings are very clear as well as the readout. I like the idea that you can turn off the laser light as well as the display light if you wanted to. Having pushed a touch in an instant Celsius to Fahrenheit is a the added bonus for someone wanting to know both degrees settings.How long it will last will will we will see, as I just purchased this three days ago on Amazon prime for 18.99if you need something that’s accurate enough to be practical when this works I cannot say it is scientifically accurate that do not have those type of testers to his insurer the decimal point degrees are accurate. But I can say the plus side of the decimal point, seems to be extremely accurate. And for general use and testing it should work fine. I am tempted to buy the other models just to see what the differences are and how they operate, I may do that in the future if so I will update this review
