This building sets makes a beautiful vase of fake flowers! Once complete it really does look like the pictures. The building blocks are separated into numbered bags which minimizes the chance of losing pieces. The instructions are very clear, just as good as name-brand Lego. My 9 year old was able to build it herself so I have no complaints.
Great building kit, love that this one came with its own vase. Instructions are very straightforward step by step much the same as the big Block Company!
A clever and fun project kit, with clear step-by-step directions. As with a jigsaw puzzle, this rose bouquet can be more fun when shared with friends or family over the age of at least 6 years old. So far mine’s about 2/3 assembled and has been a pleasure to work with, and is looking nice.Things to like: Pieces are packed in individualpp labeled bags, holding most of one feature (ie, rose), a few pieces of the next, and the occasional extra piece for good measure. Visual instructions are clearly labeled, and match up perfectly with the pouches’ labels. The clear step-by-step instructions are printed in a large, detailed guide book.Concern: For one of the flowers, a set of four pieces just doesn’t grip as well as all the other pieces. It fell apart so many times that I decided to use a little craft glue to hold them in place. If I could, I might deduct half a star for this, but that’s not much of a problem out of 818 total pieces.Build Time: Personally, I’m a tad slow with building, and I worked this project something like 8 hours to get to the point shown in photos (with only 2 flowers and the vase exterior as yet unfinished). That time also included photos, videos, and evaluating the building set for review.I definitely RECOMMEND this building kit for people who enjoy puzzles and assembling kits. It isn’t made by a famous brand of interlocking blocks, yet can be enjoyed just as much.
I was kind of wavering between 3 and 4 stars, but I’m a big softy so I guess I’ll go with 4. These roses and the vase they sit in kind of look like they are from Minecraft or something. I guess I didn’t really look at the picture very closely when I ordered them, because they really are very blocky looking in real life. I’ve just assembled one so far, and I haven’t built the vase, but looking at the pieces and the picture, it looks like it’s only going to get more blocky from here. Beyond that, the assembly is a bit fragile. I had to be super careful assembling the one rose I built or pieces would pop off while I was trying to put another piece on. So I already know it’s going to be a bit frustrating to get this all put together. But I did get that one rose put together and it only took me about 8 minutes. That’s not too bad. If the rest of the set is that quick, I might be able to knock this out in an easy evening, and still have time to cook dinner. At the end of the day, despite the less-than-perfect fit and the blocky appearance, this is a set of roses that will never wilt, and if you give it to someone that means something to you, I’m sure they will appreciate it as such. So I think that’s worth 4 stars.
This set of flower building blocks are compatible with the name brand (Lego). They are easy to connect and appear to be made well. They are not flimsy. In fact, they feel a lot like the name brand ones. The directions are fairly easy to follow. There were only a couple of spots that were a little more challenging to see what needed to be connected in the pictures. I like that there is a guide for the long pieces to ensure that you are using the correct ones. We have had a lot of fun building as a family.
