The Problem: Being newborn photographers ourselves, we were completely dissatisfied with the existing supply of baby boy and baby girl newborn essentials on the market. Nearly all of the blankets and stretch wraps for newborn photography were too small, made of super thin material, rough on our newborns’ sensitive skin, or completely see-through! We were inspired to create something better. Our Solution: After months of testing different fabrics, blends, styles and designs, we finally arrived at our perfect solution: a custom-knit newborn blanket fabric made from a blend of rayon and polyester fibers. Rayon is a natural-based material with a silk-like composition best known for its ultra-soft feel and breathability. Further, Rayon pairs well with polyester, a highly durable and strong yet lightweight fabric that retains its shape very well. Combined, these two fibers create the perfect blend for a lightweight, wrinkle-resistant swaddle blanket for newborns. Soon after finishing the first sample, we realized the baby swaddle wrap we designed was more than just a cute photo prop. In fact, customers rave about the lightweight feel and breathability of the fabric and often use them as a bedtime blanket; a receiving blanket; carseat, stroller, and nursery coverings; tummy time blankets; coverings for diaper changing pads; and even as fill-in burp cloths. Care Instructions: The best way to care for your wraps is to gently machine wash in tepid water (never hot) using a mild detergent or baby shampoo. Place wraps in a linen bag for added protection. Then simply lay flat on a towel to dry.
