Great quality!
This was surprisingly great quality! The wood was very heavy and solid. All of the pieces were clearly built with enough care to at least make sure all the drill holes line up well which I canât say is the case for many of the other assemble-yourself furnitures out there.Instructions might be unclear if you donât have a ton of experience assembling furniture (it doesnât specifically instruct to put the barrel nut into every single hole (only shows it on the first step) but you need to do it for each hole. It took me less than 10 minutes to assemble. The surface wipes clean very nicely without streaking (I got the terquoise chair). My son loves it and itâs much easier for him to sit safely at the table. He was not safe in his booster seat and he is too old to use a âbabyâ high chair.Iâm seriously considering getting 2 more for my small 7 year old daughters considering they hold up to 300 lbs!! They are able to sit much more comfortably at the table and counter in this chair than a regular dining chair.Iâve only had it a few days so Iâll update my review if anything goes wrong but so far Iâm extremely happy with this purchase.
just as good if not better than a tripp trapp
Bought this for my 3 year old who needed a better “booster”. His older brother uses a similar looking Tripp Trapp and I wasn’t willing to spend that much unless I had to. Bought this one and hoped for the best. Frankly, it’s better than the Tripp Trapp. Feels sturdier and the most important part, SO MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN THAN A TRIPP TRAPP. There seems to be a coating on the chair unlike the tripp trapp. This makes it so easy to wipe up messes and stuck on foods. Sometimes I have to scrape and scrub the tripp trapp to get stuck on food off so this is such a plus.
Excellent product.
A bit pricey but still an excellent product. My 3 years old boy loves it so much. It functions as described and looks stunning.
Great chair, well made, cost effective
I love this chair for my girl. Really well made, easy for her to get into, fun colors available if wanted. Cheaper than some of the chair/stool combosThe chair is heavy at the front and does want to tip forward if to much weight is put on the foot stool. Non issue when they are infront of the table as there isn’t room to flip, but, it could be a concern if the chair was pulled out far enough. The only other thing that was disappointing was when I originally looked at this it was 160 when I added to my cart and over 200 the following day. My own fault for missing the discount, but still much cheaper than other options.
Great little chair
I bought this chair for my 5 year old as they were too big for a high chair but too small for our dining room chairs and their feet didn’t touch the floor. The package arrived with easy to understand instructions, if you are mechanically inept like myself though, I would recommend having a partner to set up the chair but most people won’t have problems. I really liked the solid feeling of all the pieces, and once set up, my child said they enjoyed being able to touch the bottom platform with their feet.
Good, Sturdy, Looks Nice
Bought this for grandkids to use at the cabin. It looks nice and adults can sit on it too if necessary. When grandkids aren’t around it’ll probably do double-duty as a side-table. Was a bit of effort to put together because it’s hard to hold the two pieces together and screw in the bolts at the same time. As soon I had the assistance of my 3-year old it was a lot easier. I wish they made it with attachments for a baby to be able to use it.
Grande satisfaction
Parfaites pour moi. Très bonne qualité et faciles à assembler. Les petits-enfants les aiment beaucoup
What a great quality!
I was at first sceptical about this chair but couldnât make myself pay more for the Stokke ones. These did not disappoint. Easy to assemble, really great quality. Love the paint and all itâs features. Most importantly my son loves his big boy chair!!! Thank you!
For our first child, we bought an inexpensive average sort of high chair from Target. He could never sit up in it quite right as the seat was very deep and wide and let his feet dangle. As it turns out, it’s ideal for babies to have their feet flat on something, so we bought a little foot plate off Etsy. Our kiddo rarely used it – it was well made and installed at the perfect height, but it was pretty narrow so his wiggly feet wouldn’t stay on. When we were able to, we got a Stokke Tripp Trapp. 2 years later, we still have the Tripp Trapp and a new baby. We don’t have any hope of being able to afford another one by the time our second is ready to start solids, so I started looking for good budget friendly alternatives. I chose this one out of many adjustable chairs even though it doesn’t work for babies. We figured we could give this one to our toddler and use the Tripp Trapp (with its removable chair back, front leg piece, and harness straps) for the baby. The Fornel chair arrived today and it was super easy to put together. The hardest part was getting everything out of the box because I had the baby strapped onto my chest in a wrap. Ha! Putting it together took 10 minutes, including the time it took to get my toddler to sit on it so I could check and adjust the height of the foot and seat plates. The chair is beautiful and sturdy and a FANTASTIC alternative to the popular and excellent but twice-as-costly Tripp Trapp. I wish this chair had the option to buy and add on a harness for a young baby. The fact that it’s essentially only a toddler chair is its only major drawback. Otherwise, I’d actually 100% prefer this chair to the Tripp Trapp, as I like the shape of this chair better. And you can’t beat the price. If we have another child, I will buy another of these Fornel chairs for our then-toddler while keeping the Tripp Trapp for the baby. And our first would still be using the first Fornel chair as it grows with the child, even holding up to 200 lbs! The Tripp Trapp holds up to 300 lbs, but even so, this chair can be used for a really long time, and may never be outgrown if you’re not a large and heavy set person (for example, me! The heaviest I’ve been is 160 lbs while pregnant). Truly, this is a fantastic chair.I took several pictures of the Fornel and Stokke chairs side by side for comparison, but I’m unable to attach them here for some reason. Both are nearly identically sized – the Stokke chair is around ¼” wider overall, but the seats of both chairs are the same width. The Fornel is maybe ¾” taller from floor to top of the chair. Both chairs are the same depth measured from the front to the back of the legs along the floor. The Fornel does have smaller foot and seat plates depth-wise, which is one con in my opinion. However, the Fornel has higher slots in which to slide in the seat, making it more adjustable. (Perhaps it would work for a kitchen island???)In short, this chair rocks. I love it and so does my toddler. And our wallet.Pros:1. Price2. Easy to put together and adjust3. Grows with your child4. Quality/sturdinessCons:1. Not for babies2. Foot and seat plates are smallish
Good solid wood. Both my children and myself can sit on it without any problem. The only problem is that if children are moving on the chair, it does wibble a little, and after a few days, some of the screws become loose and I have to tight them again. For children, you can never expect them to sit there quietly all the time, so some improvement will be good.
I hate seat boosters and anything else that looks like a baby car seat at the dining table. But a separate chair for toddlers who have outgrown the baby high seat? This chair is your answer! The height can be adjusted. Any spills can also be easily wiped and it feels sturdy and stable. I really can see this chair being useful for children of any height until they are old or tall enough to sit in a dining chair. I recommend this chair 100% and really like the fact they they come in different colors so you can at least choose something that blends in better with the other chairs at the table.
Bought it for my 5 year old for homeworks and dinner and he sits much better than on a ikea chair as it’s adapted to his his size (also the footrest). Speedy delivery, very easy and speedy assembly, no plastic at all for the package. Great!
This chair looks nicer than I expected and perfectly matches our dining set. It is very sturdy and allows us get our toddler positioned with 90 degree angles at the ankle, hip, knee, and elbow. I highly recommend both the pad and safety harness. Having no arms allows us to make custom adjustments but leaves nothing to hold the child in. This is NOT a complaint.
