Great for toddlers
Daughter is 2.5 and finally showing interest in learning to use the potty, purchased this book specifically because they use real little girls. She loves sitting on the potty and pointing out things in the book. Highly recommend!
Best book to date
Best of the potty training books Iâve purchased.Real photos that are numbered and demonstrate the steps of using the potty. It is the teddy bear who is learning to use the potty, was his hands, etc.Reward sticker chart included. Very nice!Uses real terminology rather than repeating âpottyâ over and over for âpeeâ and âpooâ.Highly recommend for introducing the steps of using the potty from start to finish.
Just what we were looking for
Great book, great pictures and LOTS of stickers. Perfect chart to start with and made things easy.
Totally necessary!
Great book! My grandaughter is proving to be very difficult to potty train! This book is helping tons! She asks for us to read it to her. It comes with a chart and stickers for all positive potty runs with a bigger sticker with different titles for the end of the week.
Sold a misprinted book.
I will be reviewing the bookâs contents and the fact I was sold a misprint (and it appears others have been too) separately. If you are buying this book because it has a star chart, save your money and make your own chart. The chart is printed on pages that are not blank and removing the chart means removing important parts of the book. Meanwhile the blank pages appear elsewhere. This was disappointing, not so much because of the star chart but that Amazon is selling misprints without notifying customers. At least if I buy books at the dollar store, I am aware thereâs likely a misprint and if Iâm not sure, I can at least look inside of it. Unfortunately, I didnât realize this in time, having ordered it early to let her look at it herself before we formally started potty training.Otherwise, we enjoy the book for potty training. It has the steps of going potty, which is helpful. It also has fun photos that break down the process, buying a potty, buying underwear, etc. and has a positive, upbeat tone as told from the perspective of the little girl. A book that is more gender neutral from DK would make it even better.
My 2.5 yo daughter loves it!
My daughter loves it! I love that this book uses photos of real girls potty training instead of cartoons so my daughter can see what it using the potty actually looks like. There’s nothing sexual about the pictures at all. It has a cute little rhyme in it to talk about potty training in simple words and a page with 6 steps to using the potty. My daughter has hyperlexia and could read at age 2.5. She loved to sit with the book on the potty and read it when she goes #2. She loved that there were 6 steps and she could follow along the numbers. I potty trained her at 2.75 yo. Along with the Summer My Size potty, she learned to use the potty in 4 days. Overall, it worked fantastic for us.
Love it.
Quality is great. Very nice book.
Nice book to get girls excited for potty training
My daughter enjoyed this book. I liked that it was geared towards little girls, just to help with discussing using the potty. We didnât use the sticker chart that came included but I let her decorate her potty with the stickers.
My daughter just turned 3 and we were having a hard time getting started on this potty training business. She just did NOT want to sit on the potty and when weâd put her on sheâd just hold it till she had a diaper/pull-up/undies back on and would go then. So, I knew she COULD hold it and release when she wanted⦠my question was how to get her to do it in the potty. M&Ms (success treats) werenât working, esp if she got one for just sitting down (sheâd sit, immediately say âdone!â and then ask for one – smart girl) so I decided to give this book a shot.So she wasnât suuuper interested in the actual book. She liked seeing the big girls in their big girl undies and on the potty, and it held her attention a little at first⦠but after a few times she really didnât care too much about it. But! Using the star sticker chart was a winner!Weâd stick a star on the chart after any *successful* #1 or #2 in the potty and when she filled up a row sheâd get a prize. It was slow to start of course, but she got the idea after a while (after getting prize 1 and then 2) and by the time we got to the last row she filled it up in 2 days! She also loved adding the stickers to the chart herself too. Yay!The book and sticker chart are super cute so for the price itâs totally worth it. I like that it comes with twice as many stickers as the chart needs so weâre using it on another chart I printed out too. Itâs happening people!! Sheâs doing it!All in all: Cute looking book. Nicely designed sticker chart. Even tho she didnât spend too much time with the book, i do think it helped her get the idea of this all being a normal part of big kid life. Stickers charts rock! (Sorry so long lol, Iâm excited)
War nUn doch etwas früh für unsere kleine. Jedoch ist das Buch echt toll und macht in der Zukunft sicher Spaà für Groà und Klein. Das mit den Stickern ist eine gute Idee.
The book is just ok, but the stars really helped train my baby. She was so fascinated by the star concept that she religiously started using the seat.
na verdade nao usarei o penico, ela vai direto para o vaso sanitario, senoa trabalho dobrado…entao este livro nao esta me ajudando muito. Mas tem os adesivos que podem ser usados para recompensa…
All the pages came out of the centre
