My kiddos love playing with these in the bath *and* the shower! Honestly the cubes on their own are fun for them to play with in the bath, so the actual toys have stayed in the shower, and we use the cubes in the tub. They have lasted quite a while! I usually take the cubes out and vigorously shake them to get all the water out, so the batteries won’t drain.I think it’s kind of expensive for what it is, but I get the allure of the actual characters, and that it’s licensed characters, so that probably drives the price up. I think they make a fun gift for a child, but it would not be an everyday purchase for our family.
I really love that Sesame Street partnered with glo pals. I think this is a cute idea, but my children got bored pretty quick. I have 2 children on the spectrum and had high hopes for this toy, as they love water and lights. Maybe next time they will be more interested. It came with 6 cubes, which is nice since they donât last forever. I donât think they light up as much as the stock images made me believe. I assumed these would glow a vibrant yellow, but honestly itâs more like a faint white. Also, I think the price point is fairly steep, although I appreciate that it is made in the USA and seems to be good quality, $26 is quite expensive for a toy that cannot replace the batteries.UPDATE – I also got the blue Cookie Monster Glo pal and the blue lights up so much brighter. This yellow Julia is still fun but her light just isnât as bright or fun as opposed to the blue Cookie Monster ones. I would definitely recommend one of the other characters over Julia, unless your child really loves Julia. I love Julia, I wish the yellow light was more vibrant.
It is a cute toy. My son likes the little cubes. but when you put them in the doll they dont light up. They are not easy to get out of the face at all. I have to push from the front side and hope i dont push a hole in it.They light up rather well but we have only used them once. Hoping they work for awhile. They are a cute gift though.
