Safely ride rear-facing longer! The Graco® Extend2Fit™ Convertible Car Seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness 1.8-22.5 kg (4-50 lb) to forward-facing harness 10-30 kg (22-65 lb). It features a 4-position extension panel that provides up to 12.7 cm (5”) of extra rear-facing legroom, allowing your child to safely ride rear-facing longer. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. With Extend2Fit™, the adjustable extension panel and 22.5 kg (50 lb) rear-facing weight limit allow the seat to grow with your child in rear-facing mode, providing extended rear-facing use. Built solid, convenient features, hard to tighten
We are using this carseat for our 1 year old baby. It’s seems pretty well made and generally easy to use. Here’s what we thought:Pros:- ball indicator makes it easy to check if the carseat is level- easy to adjust height of shoulder straps and head rest- button for releasing the harness isn’t too hard to pressCons:- it is very hard to tighten the harness using the strap at baby’s feet, even if I pull upwards at the top by baby’s shoulders to create slack- the carseat is kinda high on the sides where the cup holders are, so it’s kinda awkward trying to lift baby’s legs and bum over this hump in order to get him into the seat- the latch for loosening the harness is hard to access because I have to awkwardly reach far back into the hole in the fabric to push it down with my index finger
Large seat , but easy to install and very comfortable
We purchased the seat to have all our granddaughter was visiting. It seemed quite large, but once we had it installed in the vehicle, it had small footprint. It was easy to install, I love the fact that the straps can be adjusted without taking the whole seat apart. The interior of it was soft and cushy, but not so fluffy as interfere with adjusting the straps. I liked having the gauge on the side that shows you that the seat is in the correct position. We used it for rear facing, but did not need the extra infant padding. Would definitely recommend, but do be aware is a larger seat, and would not work well as three across.
Manufactured 2024, easy instal
I purchased this in November 2024 and it was manufactured in June 2024. Some reviews said they were years old, but mine was appropriately new.FYI- The harness straps can seem tight and as if they wont loosen properly when you press the release button. The trick is that you need to adjust the height of the headrest to make more slack in the straps. When the height of the head rest is appropriate for the kid, there will be enough slack in the straps. The height of the shoulder straps adjusts automatically when you adjust the head rest height.
Good quality car seat.
This is a great upgrade from the infant car seat we were using previously. I love the cup holders, and I love how adjustable everything is. I donât think I will ever need to buy another car seat for my son. It feels like it would be very comfortable. Nice and sturdy. I am confident and comfortable with the safety of my child using this car seat. Highly recommend.*He is 16 months old, 19 pounds.
Peace of mind
This was an upgrade from the infant seat of a stroller travel system. My biggest concern was a proper reclining angle because the seats in an MDX are quite tilted. I was uneasy using a pool noodle or a rolled up towel to properly align the carseat.My baby is about 10 weeks in the photo, and 10.5 lbs.This seat keeps her supported and content. It was an instant difference in her comfort level. The adjustments are accommodating and it was a quick install with some forethought. During this heat wave I do notice that the seat gets warm against my baby’s back, however we keep the cabin of the car a mild temperture that it hasn’t been an issue.I read some reviews regarding the harness being difficult to use.
