I purchased this high chair due to the chairs ability to fold up, which is perfect for our small space. It was easy to set up and I love that it has a foot rest, which was recommended by all pediatric OTs as a must have for baby high chairs. The top tray snaps off for easy cleanup, and the tray and chair both fold up so it takes up little space when not in use. I know this product was marked as a frequently returned item but weâve had no issues with it so far.
I will admit this looks cute, but that’s where the positivity ends for my review. We have other high chairs we’ve used with our other children but decided to take a chance on this given it was a on sale. Setting it up was fairly easy, but as you were assembly it you could tell this was a poorly made product. In fact, the paddle snap clips used to secure the footstool and table completely fell out, nothing was holding them in. If I didn’t have needle-nose pliers I wouldn’t have been able to finish the assembly at all. These paddle nose clips fell out nearly every time we removed the table or footstool.After we put our 4 month old in we quickly realized just how small this chair was. And we quickly decided we’d just pull out our old high chair from the garage as we trusted that build more and was way more functional.
I have it a couple stars because it does have a good weight capacity and the quality seemed goodâ¦however we had to return it because of how small it is! My son is 75th percentile and 6 months old. On the bigger side, but not huge and he had very minimal space and probably wouldâve been too big for it before he turns 1. The tray does not move in and out so we could not move it out and away from his belly to make more room. And honestly, even if we could, the seat itself is still very small. Before I even put it together I took one look at the chair part and thought, yikesð If your baby has any sort of rolls, donât do it lol we couldnât believe how unrealistically small it was! Kinda confuses me that the weight capacity is 50lb but there isnât much room for my 17lb baby?
I purchased this because it was inexpensive and would be easy to clean in a vacation rental. The legs were easy to assemble but the part that attached the tray was just about impossible to insert into the seat. We had to basically hammer it in and it is never coming out again.
I took off the middle leg attachments to make this high chair the shortest possible height. It was wonderful for fitting under our counter and great so I can sit on the floor and feed my son since itâs what works best for us.HOWEVER!Having it in this form makes it lose its stability and EASILY tips over forward.Other cons:The tray is slanted slightly downward, the mechanism to collapse the tray up or down is awkward to access while holding a baby, and is quite small compared to the photos advertised.The chair is nice and compact, but dangerously unstable and unsafe if left at all unsupervised.
