So disappointed
The cat was ok while it did sing (for about six months). The sound was very bad quality, to say the least, but our four-year-old couldn’t care less.Then it stopped singing after less than a year and recently, about eight months of moderate use, it stopped working period. Changing the batteries several times didn’t make any difference. My daughter was so sad; my almost two years old son was furious (!). And we parents are so disappointed.

The kitty was initially a huge hit with my 2 1/2 yr old daughter!! We were especially happily surprised that it played a full version of “baby shark” as one of the songs (which even most of her official pink fong baby shark toys did not even do), amongst other classic kids’ songs such as “Mary had a little lamb”, “if ur happy and u know it”, and “wheels on the bus”, and others! The “baby shark” song feature made it one of her absolute FAV toys. The lights were a cool add on feature but killed the batteries really fast when used concurrently with the music feature, even with very light use. I was careful with not letting my kid get the white kitty dirty, so she mostly played with it after a bath or around bedtime, but always with clean hands. She really loved the songs, and the fact that u could press the paw to skip ahead to the song she wanted to hear. (Yes, there was a decent amount of “baby shark” over and over 😂, but it made her happy so it was worth it to me). The colored LED lights were cool but only vibrant for the first minute or so and then not so much. And as I mentioned, they really killed the batteries very quickly.However I am very disappointed that this toy my daughter loved pretty much just stopped working and the music feature seemed to have just “died” within only a couple of months of having it and playing with it maybe a total of 10-15x altogether! The lights still work so I know it’s not the batteries (even tho I still attempted to change them and tried 3 different brands of brand new batteries in the desperate attempt to get the kitty to play music lol). My daughter cried for days over the kitty “breaking” and no longer playing music. I thought she might still like it as a cute stuffed animal that lights up, but now that she knows it once played her favorite nursery rhymes and songs (including her beloved “baby shark” of course), she cries every time and frustratedly tries to make the toy work and begs me for help every time. 🙁 It breaks my heart how upset and sad she is about this still. It’s obviously too late to return or exchange it, as it stopped working after 2 months of having it.. I’ve considered buying her a replacement, but I’m hesitant that the same fate might befall the new toy. I’m still considering what to do bc it’s clear she still really wants to play with it and enjoyed it immensely when it was working. Perhaps the toy we received was defective and this wouldn’t happen again? I’ve even thought about trying to reach out to the seller, or Amazon.In any case, that was my family’s experience with this toy. It was wonderful and my child loved and enjoyed it so much, but the joy was short lived, and it only made it that much worse when it suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason..If I do decide to purchase a replacement, I’ll def make sure to add to my review to include how long the new one lasts compared to this one.Overall a great buy for the money, super cute, musical, cool lights, but the most important feature didn’t even last a full 3 months. The photos I’ve included r of the toy today (after 4ish months of having it-tho it did spend most of the last month on a shelf untouched and not played with, but u can see it’s still in near perfect condition, and never got wet or dirty, or it was never played with roughly! It just seems it was an unfortunate defect or just bad luck.. Or perhaps it’s just not well made and it stops working soon after purchase? It’s just a huge shame that it had to be the music to go. I would not have minded or cared nearly as much if it were the LED lights!Such a shame bc if it worked for even a year at least, I would be giving this stuffed (no longer musical) kitty at least 5 stars and a perfect review!!

So my daughter loves this. It’s extremely soft and a great size, not super small like other ones I’ve purchased. There are a lot of songs and the lights are BRIGHT. I took off a star bc we have to replace the batteries every single week, which is nuts, my daughter only plays with this at bedtime for max an hour. Once the batteries start going the lights just stay on red and won’t turn off and the animal gets very hot. We’ve taken it away for now because we don’t trust it unsupervised. Isn’t working for what we need it for but it does what it says, just be prepared to spend a lot on batteries.
