works well, can’t mute it (cant turn off sound)
Works exactly like it shows, point it at something = get the temp. Boom. Easy to use, it has a backlight for the display. The only complaint i have is that it cannot be ‘muted’, that is, the sound cannot be turned off. This thing will beep-beep-beep when it takes a temperature and noone had better be sleeping around you haha. That’s the only feature i can think of this thing needs. You have to hold it for a couple seconds to get a temperature reading, but the display updates automatically if you move the laser to point at someone else I mean something else, it changes and auto-updates the temperature as you move it around (if you need to). It comes with the two AAA batteries, which is awesome. The only thing I think it needs is a Mute button. Note: i did not get a chance to test the Meat Thermometer yet (but it’s great that it comes with one!)
Great value and cant complain.
The infared thermometer is very useful been using it for months, left it in a cold car, dropped it a bunch of times and had it rained on. Still works perfectecly fine and can use it as a double A powered cat toy since the laser is bright. The meat therometer is also a bonus and works pretty well.

The infrared thermometer is very quick and simple to use. Once the batteries are inserted, just simply aim at an object or a surface and pull the trigger to measure the temperate. The result will then displayed on the screen.When using it to measure the temperature of any objects or surfaces, it does not require to have it physically touching the target or having to risk the userâs safety in order to receive the results. Therefore, it is very safe to use when itâs come to measuring any objects or surfaces, even those are extremely hot or cold, and the user will never have to worry about getting hurt while measuring its temperature. Using itâs laser sighting feature, it can reach an object or surface that is up to 12:1 distance spot ratio, which means the user can measure the temperature of an object or surface that canât be reached, just aiming at the target, and measure the temperature from where he/she is.It is very handy too, it can also pretty much measure any itemâs temperature. Which is very useful for cooking, car repair and even more. I was curious about how good is this tool is, so I did some testing. First, Iâve just simply tested on the counter, then the hot stove, and even when outside to test it on icy surfaces. I didnât really do much or having myself to touch the object, Iâd just simply aiming at the object and pull the trigger, and I have already got the result of it. It isnât time-consuming either because the process took less than seconds. Really super easy to use and fast to get the result. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
Infared and probe thermometers work very well and are an excellent value.
Excellent products: infared and probe thermometers. Accurate and very reasonably priced. Paid for themselves the first time they were used.
Not bad for the price.
Neither thermometer is dead accurate but they are close enough to be usable. The infrared one is quick in measuring and feels solid in construction, while the digital probe type takes a while to come up with a stable measurement and is more fragile. Infrared one uses two AAA size batteries, while the digital probe type uses one button cell. Both can be switched from F to C and vice versa. Overall the kit isn’t expensive and does the job for me.
Both used in breadmaking and work great
Temperature control is VERY important when making bread and these two items make the job much easier. From water temp to mixed dough temp to actual oven temp they work great.
The probe doesn’t work
