Sturdy
I dont know what it is but this feels sturdy and well made. I had another one and it felt like hollow plastic. This feels like it’s substantial. Otherwise works very well. Reminded me it’s below freezing today.
It works like it should
I love this device for knowing precise temperature for a outdoor pizza oven! Simple and easy to use.
Works well but laser pointer stopped working after one day.
I purchased this temperature gun recently for cooking and baking. I have a thermometer to measure the temperature of oil and candy. When I compare the temperature of my physical thermometer to this temperature gun, the gun is close. Sometimes it can be off by a few degrees Fahrenheit. The booklet that came with the gun says it can be +/- 2C. This is around +/- 4F and that seems about right.The only real failing after one day of use is that the laser to show were the heat sensor is pointing stopped working.The 9V battery which came with the device had “2023-01” written on the bottom. I assume this means it should be good until January 2023 (it is currently February 2021). However when I checked the battery with a battery tester it showed it was only outputting 5V. I changed the battery to a known good battery and the pointer started working again.
A must have
I love this thermometer. I can check if the smoker is at the right temp and also test the surface temperature in our puppy whelping boxes to confirm itâs in the correct range.
Accurate
I always wanted to get an infrared thermometer for my pizza oven and this was the right price. I tested it on the stove and it works pretty good
Everything needed right in the package
Product arrived and came with a battery so I was able to unpack read directions and start using immediately! Works great as described! I have a few Inkbird thermometers and have not been disappointed with their products! I will continue to purchase their products in the future!

Easy to handle and measure temperatures but reading is inconsistent. Measuring the same surface multiple times and the temperature drifts.
