Description

A simple and effective approach for parents to prepare toddlers to use a potty
Learning to use a potty is an exciting milestone, but the process can easily overwhelm a toddler. Help your little one learn what they’ll actually see and experience with It’s Potty Time, a Toddler Prep Book featuring actual photos and simple, easy-to-understand language. Read the book before you start training and watch their confidence grow.

About Toddler Prep Books
The best way to prepare a child for any new experience is to help them understand what to expect beforehand, according to experts. And while cute illustrations and fictional dialogue might be entertaining, little ones need a more realistic representation to fully understand and prepare for new experiences.

With Toddler Prep Books, you can help your child make a clear connection between expectation and reality for all of life’s exciting new firsts. Born from firsthand experience and based on research from leading developmental psychologists, the series was created by Amy and Aaron Pittman – parents of two who know (all too well) the value of preparation for toddlers.

Reviews

  1. I have read an absurd number of toddler potty books at this point. This is one of the best ones out there. The pictures are helpful, and the text is very simple and straightforward. It covers the how-to of the entire process plus the feeling of needing to use the potty and briefly addresses accidents. My only complaint is that it skips over pulling up your pants and goes right to flushing and handwashing. My two-year-old really seems to enjoy it, too.

  2. The toddler prep series is so great in presenting the COMPLETE circumstances in a way that is relatable to children and with fantastic images and text.

  3. My toddlers enjoy this book. It’s been well-loved….and for that reason, I wish it were a board book so I wouldn’t have to be a book doctor with packing tape. Still, it’s informative, clear, to the point, and it’s been useful for my toddlers.

  4. Real photos for the win! Reading with my 17 month old as we start potty learning. She loves looking at the photos of little kids sitting on the potty. There are pictures for every part of the process and good facial expressions to help her understand the feeling to go potty.

  5. I got this book when my son turned 1 and start reading with him and practicing sitting on the potty. It was more like a play but as soon as he turned two he was just naturally ready for potty training. As soon as I took the diaper off he went himself and used the potty. I didn’t need to go through any stress of training. I think the book did the trick as well as me keeping it positive and never pushing.
