These are reasonably decent night lights as far as night lights go; however, the slide control that supposedly allows for easy adjustment of brightness isn’t exactly well-designed and it’s somewhat difficult to make finer adjustment to get the exact brightness desired. The slider is cheap, crude, and poorly implemented and it turns the light off completely at around 10% mark (instead of 0%). With that being said, it’s better than some others where the brightness would max out at 50% mark.≡ Physical buildThe physical build quality of these appears decent albeit typical in comparison to most others of similar style and design; however, these do NOT have foldable or rotatable prongs, which is disappointing to see since most of these light nights that I’ve come across and reviewed recently do have foldable plugs with a few that actually have rotatable prongs so they can work with practically outlets or receptacles included those on power bars/surge protectors etc.Unlike most others though, these are relatively large and bulky (thickness) and they WILL block outlets to either left or right but outlets above/below them are mostly fine so just keep that in mind. These obviously would work just fine for ordinary wall outlets but if you are planning on using these with those 6x outlet extenders, well, you’re gonna sacrifice 2 additional outlets. Btw, these are about 3cm thick (excluding the plugs).≡ BrightnessThey claim to have adjustable brightness from 0 to 100 lm and while that may or may not be true, they are actually noticeably brighter than most others that I’ve come across so these certainly serve their purpose. They can be completely turned off if needed which is nice (since many don’t have that option). Btw, it’s noticeably brighter than ordinary LED on a cell phone at the highest brightness so it’s not too bad although I wish they have adjustable color temperatures a well (i.e. 3000-5500K).≡ Operational modesThis particular model only has a light sensor (i.e. without motion detection); therefore, it only supports the always-on mode depending upon the ambient brightness level. A motion sensor (which this model doesn’t have) would’ve allowed for automatically turning the light on/off based upon ambient light level AND motion detection. In any event, they still work just fine similar to all the night lights with light sensors do for the last several decades.≡ ValueAll things considered, these are reasonably decent LED light nights that are moderately well-built and for the most part work just fine without much issue; however, if you’re very particular about brightness levels of these night lights, then these are probably not for you since finer adjustment is difficult. They are a bit pricey at $20 (for a 2-pack) for what they provide and their overall build quality, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.

Energy efficient and reasonably strong but not as good as front facing night lights
What’s included:- 2 night lights (up to 100 lumens @ 1W)The pair of night lights by JandCase are both energy efficient and work well but there may be somewhat better options depending on one’s needs.The night lights are rated at 1W and 100 lumens meaning they provide a good amount of brightness at very little expenditure.Each light has 6 LEDs on the top as well as another 6 LEDs on the bottom. The LEDs are rated at 3000K meaning they are not white but they are not quite that yellowish color often found in night lights. This colour temperature works reasonably well for night lights based on my experience although I have some that are 2500K which are more yellow and easier on the eyes at night. Typically, the whiter the light, the more disruptive it can be to going back to bed if getting up in the night to use the bathroom or take a trip to the kitchen for a snack.These lights have not been particularly bothersome to me, but I do notice that my other night lights allow me to get back to sleep more easily and quickly than these ones.The night lights are dusk to dawn rather than motion sensing so once the sensor detects a certain level of darkness, the lights will begin to power on. I would point out that the night lights are not an all or nothing type of thing. The darker it gets the stronger the lights become so in the early hours of the evening, they come on but its quite faint and as the hours grow later, the power of the lights do as well.I prefer this type of night light because with others that I have tested, it seems almost wasteful for a light to power on at 100% capacity as soon as the ambient light detected by the sensor detects darkness because it may not be dark enough to warrant a night light turning on, so well done in this regard.These night lights have 6 LEDs as noted on the top and bottom, but none in the front. As a result, the night lights illuminate the areas above and below the lights as seen in my pictures. This is a little unproductive for my needs, because I like night lights to illuminate the area in front of where they are located because that’s generally the area I need lit up the most. For example, I tried one of these lights at the top of my staircase where I want to see the top stairs to avoid stumbling over them, but found the light didn’t quite illuminate the top of the stairs like I hoped, just about 6 feet in front of its location, so I eventually removed it. Where these night lights have worked well is in my hallway which is rather slim at about 4 feet and based on my use, is about the ideal distance of illumination for these lights. Once you go beyond 4-5 feet the area of illumination fades quite a bit so if I had to suggest these lights for anywhere in the house it would be for locations where light is needed but a large area of light is not required.Lastly, I would just note that these lights have been designed well to not block both receptacles of an outlet as long as you place the night light in the top receptacle. There is however a bit of a caveat here. Since the light does not block both receptacles and leaves the bottom one free, its possible to plug something into that free bottom receptacle HOWEVER, doing so will obstruct the 6 LEDs on the bottom of the night light rendering their efficacy cut by a significant amount so you end up really having just the 6 top side LEDs lighting up an area. This can and does have an impact based on my use of these lights so despite not blocking the bottom receptacle, when the night light is on, it really is beneficial to not have anything plugged into the bottom receptacle.Finally I would just point out there is a nice slider on the side of the night light that allows for adjusting of the light. I keep mine at 100% all of the time since they are only 1 watt and do not illuminate the area infront of them quite as good as a front facing night light. The ambient sensor however is quite good and the mode of operation by which the light slowly comes on is great.In my opinion these night lights work well and are well constructed compared to others that I have tested and own – they are however not optimal for large areas needing light and so I would stick to areas such as powder rooms or hallways to get the most benefit from these night lights. I do generally prefer dusk to dawn lights over motion sensing lights and these fulfill that need nicely.They will be used in my hallway where they work best.Cheers,

Looks good but one arrived broken so I returned it!

I use this night light for my puppy and this is perfect the sensor built in for day and night works good turns off when it senses day light and turn on when it senses night time. Easy to adjust the brightness and easy to use. Good price for a set of these I’m happy with these.

These night lights are very nice. Gives off a good amount of light. When my grandkids come over, they always comment how much they like them, especially if they have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Easy to set up. Have multiple of them!
