The KidCo 50-Piece Baby Proofing Kit has it all! 36 Outlet Covers, 10 Cabinet Locks, 2 Door Knob Covers, & 2 Finger Guards which is more than enough to start baby proofing your house. I watch 3 grandbabies that these can definitely come in handy for. I think the set is very reasonably priced at the current price of $21.99 for the 50 pieces. The plastic is high quality and the baby proofing elements actually work as intended. I think this is a great set for any new parent because of the wide variety of things it has. 36 Outlet covers is enough to get in all of the outlets that a baby would have access to for the average house.
Grandson is starting to get mobile, so I ordered this kit to get the house childproofed for his safety. Lots of outlet covers, with several doorknob covers, cabinet locks and finger guards for doors. The items are all midlevel quality, very functional, and take care of many of the childproof needs before he starts exploring. Iâm sure there will be a few more things we will need eventually, like some corner/edge guards, but this gets us a good start.
KidCo 50-Piece Baby Proofing Kit – 36 Outlet Covers, 10 Cabinet Locks, 2 Door Knob Covers, and 2 Finger Guards. This would be a perfect baby gift. The outlet caps are nice plastic and large enough to cover the entire outlet and since this kit comes with 50, this will take care of 25 of your outlets. More than enough. This is a must-have set for all parents. Thumbs up!
While I appreciate the quantity of outlet caps and swivel locks that are included in this set, I am slightly disappointed in some of the piecesâ mechanics. The outlet caps âgripsâ are not very useful for pulling out the outlet caps. I still have to use a screwdriver or my nail to pry out the outlet caps. I also was slightly disappointed that the swivel locks have to be assembled prior to installation. However, I am relieved that the necessary screws are included, unlike other sets I’ve gotten in the past. Another annoyance of mine is the door knob covers. Somehow, some of the children have more success in opening the doors with them on, while I continue to struggle with the âchild-proofâ covers. Other than that, this set is a great start in our baby-proofing operations.
The design of the outlet plugs does not make them easier for an adult to grip and remove. I tried using the protruding center section and ended up giving up and just pushing my nails under the edges. The door slam guards are great and hold up well. The cabinet locks are confusing and difficult to line up and install. I wish it came with directions to put these on.The door handle covers will pop open when pressure is applied, so they wonât deter crafty escape artists.
