Tastes Great & Really Works, Especially If You Catch It Early Enough
There isnât a whole lot you can do for toddlers when they are sick so I was extremely happy to come across this herbal medicine. It seems to lessen my childrens cold and flu symptoms, especially if I catch it early enough.The vitamin C helps to boost their immune system and the echinacea really helps soothe sore throats and prevent upper respiratory infections. It also contains elderberry which is loaded in antioxidants and has anti inflammatory properties that can shorten the duration of colds and flus.My kids actually donât mind the taste which is big for my picky 4 year old. I wasnât sure she would take it due to the echinacea but it doesnât taste as as strong as I thought.I like that it is free from artificial flavors and colors, wheat, dairy, soy, gluten and yeast. It is a reasonable price and I love that it is made in Canada. I will definitely keep purchasing it and highly recommend this product to all of my friends and family.
It Passed the Taste Test with a Picky Kid
I cannot confirm if this works for helping relieve cold and flu as in the month since ordering this, my daughter has not experienced any symptoms. I have heard that both Elder and Echinacea, which are present in this, are effective for combating cold and flu. I like that it has no artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners.It has a similar consistency to liquid Childrenâs Tylenol. Both my daughter and I tried this, and it does have a peachy flavour and is not too sweet. I was okay with it, but I wasnât not too sure that my daughter would be. To my delight, she did not mind it. She is a picky eater and even more so with medicines.Overall, I cannot confirm if this works but the ingredients would suggest it should be effective to some degree. It did pass the taste test with my daughter.
Kids seem to like it and it seems to reduce phlegm production
I got this as my younger two children have been sick recently. I had been giving them the kids’ Stodal honey cough syrup, but the efficacy seems to be a hit and miss with the current bout of cough that they’re fighting.For $25, this 100mL bottle is a bit pricey. However, I was intrigued by this cough syrup as it has elderberry and echinacea (both of which I’ve read is great for sore throats and coughs), as well as vitamin C and zinc.The bottle that I ordered December 2022 has an expiry date of June 2024, which is very reasonable. Once opened, the bottle needs to be refrigerated. One serving is 5mL, and depending on age, a child can take up to 4 servings per day. So, this 100mL bottle would last a minimum of 5 days.The medicine is a thicker syrup consistency. My kids had no issues with taking it. Granted, both of them agreed that the Stodal honey cough syrup was more palatable.I did notice though that this medicine seemed to be more effective in reducing the frequency of coughing with my son (who was the sickest of my two children), and any coughing that he did have did not sound as wet as before.So, while it is pricier than other homeopathic medicine, this one seemed to effectively address my children’s symptoms, which I am very happy about!

My 5-year-old recently recovered from RSV, and just 2 weeks later, she got sick AGAIN with a very strong and phlegmy cough. I got this Kidzvita Anti-Cold & Flu just in time and started giving it to her right away. It’s only been 3 days, but I can see a significant reduction in coughing, and it sounds a lot less phlegmy. I feel good giving my daughter something that contains herbs and natural ingredients that actually support and boost the immune system, while fighting cold and flu symptoms.It is a little thick in consistency, almost like honey or syrup.My daughter loves the taste of it and she’s picky, so I’m very happy about this. My daughter has a language disorder, so she does not really know HOW to describe the flavour. She just says “mmmmm yummy! I like it!” every time I give her a dose. That to me says enough about the flavour!Keep in mind that this must be refrigerated after opening though! I did not even think of this as most homeopathic/natural medicines I’ve ever had did not require refrigeration. Luckily, I took the time to read the bottle otherwise I would have just put it back into my medicine cabinet.I highly recommend having this on hand, especially during the winter = flu season. This is probably one of the best defenses you can provide your young kiddos!
Great taste and Natural
My children enjoy the flavour of this syrup, so there are no issues getting them to take their medicine. I like having a natural cough syrup in our medicine cupboard since children under 6 don’t really have OTC cough suppressant options. It’s nice to be able to use this in combination with a pain killer when our children are very sick and need relief in order to get much-needed sleep. While the efficacy of natural products like this can be hard to prove, it does seem to help in overall immunity over time. My children’s colds and coughs don’t last as long or are as severe as what their peers experience.
Syrup
Given kids have been shielded from even common colds for two years, this winter will likely be hell as they need to rebuild their immune system….so I will take any help I can get to make this easier on them and on me! This syrup is a homeopatic remedy that’s supposed to boost their immune system and help with recovery. It tastes pretty nice which is great and bad all at once – I don’t want my kids to think they’ll get yummy treats when sick, but at the same time it helps to get it down without them gagging….It has echinacea, zinc and vitamin C, so all the stuff good for immunity.At $24.99 /100 ml this isn’t cheap, but as I said, I’ll take all the help I can get!
