Nipple shields should be used under the direction of a lactation professional. They should not be relied upon for long term use. Nipple shields should not be used in the first week after birth unless specifically prescribed by a lactation professional, as their use may affect milk supply. Nipple shields are intended for short term use. Once the underlying issue has been addressed, it is best to wean from the nipple shield. Depending on the type of latching issue being addressed, baby may only need to use the shield for a few sessions. Others may take longer to resolve. Be sure to consult with a lactation professional regarding use of nipple shields and weaning off of them.

Godsend. These have allowed me to breast feed my baby. She has a very tiny mouth and struggled to gets a good latch, causing me so much pain.I have tried Medela and MAM brand shields and these are my favourite. The holes are small and introduce less air into babies belly. They suction well and the case wel made.If your struggling with pain and getting a good latch go for these.

Works great so far. I started with another brand first, and decided to try this one. My son latches much better to this shield. Makes for a much happier baby and mama. Good quality and good price.
Worked for me
Helped with the transition on breast feeding. Used for every other feeding with son due to tongue tie. Helped a lot. Fit well. Use a spit up cloth for any leakage
Baby wouldn’t eat from it after a few weeks without a shield
I bought these when my baby was 4 weeks old and my nipples were sore, even though I read that it is not a great product for sore nipples. Nipple Shields are best used for situations where the baby has a tongue tie or the mom has inverted nipples and it works better if used early. By the time I tried these, my baby was confused when I put it on and didn’t want to drink with it. I also didn’t realize that they recommend going to a lactation consultant to learn how to put them on properly. I am giving it a 4 star because the quality seemed good, it just didn’t work for me in my situation. Also be careful of sizing, because I chose a size that is too small.
Shield seems tacky/sticky
It does the job, it seems tackier than other shields Iâve used (Medela brand at the hospital) and my babyâs lips would stick to the shield – he wasnât fond of that.

Was very helpful when I developed cracked nipples and had to effectively empty the breast which is best done while suckling rather than using pump. Baby easily adjusted to it and also again adjusted to the healed nipples.
