Well, my daughter, who’s 3, understands the concept, but only because, before this purchase, she was practicing her vowels, and she already understands her ABCs, beginning sounds, and upper case and lower case. So I wouldn’t recommend this product until your child understand these concepts first; besides that. Pinterest has many hands-on activities you can try, and there are some YouTube videos on vowels, and I like to go to teacherpayteachers.com for activities too.
Puzzles are great, 2 sided to add even more middle sounds to rhyme with. Helped my kindergartener who was struggling to learn rhyming with comparing words with same sounds and rhyming words. Would recommend this one.
Nice educational puzzle. Was a coronavirus purchase due to school closures. My only complaint is when the words have the same sounds with different letters, I donât think my pre-k age kid quite grasps the concept.
There are puzzles on the back of other puzzles. Sure this saves natural resources, but it means you do not have flexibility as to which vowel sounds you work on simultaneously. I want kids to compare and sort sounds so i need the puzzles to be separate. Also if kids drop pieces on the floor, they will not know which side is what they need… since both sides have words. The child must then decide between front and back words wich adds unnecessary complexity.
