Eye of the Tiger
This Lego build is awesome, one my nieces and nephews and niblings have been waiting on since the lion prides were released a couple of years ago. After all, who doesn’t love a big cat Lego figure?The tiger is absolutely the star of the show with gorgeous markings and a lot of attention to detail. Like other big cat figures, the head and back legs have a large range of motion which makes this apex predator imminently posable. It also rocks a pair of bumps that mean a minifigure can go for a ride, or the tiger can steal some of the cameras — maybe they want to livestream!Speaking of cameras, the off-road Jungle Explorer comes with all kinds of technology so the Lego Exploration team can get footage sent back to help learn to preserve these endangered kitties. There’s a big video camera on a boom that can be raised, lowered and the camera moved all around to track the action. The Explorers have even brought a little Drone camera to take shots from the air! This might be a great idea… or maybe not, if this jungle is thick with vegetation. And tigers, like any feline, can jump quite a few times their own height from a standing start.Things might not end too well for the poor drone!The Off-Road Explorer really is a rugged little truck on the outside with those HUGE wheels, letting it climb (and whoosh down) pretty much whatever you put in front of it. I mean, depending on how much you push it.On the inside is where it really shines, though! It isn’t just a truck, it’s a full research station in the back including a really great picture of the tiger on a flat plate! There’s also a printed map and fewer stickers than I thought there might be. There are stickers, yes, but some are interior so you don’t really see them with the truck’s roof on.This kit is such a great addition to the Lego Explorers sets, which really stimulate a lot of interest in the animals included in the sets, even while people are playing! We ourselves have now researched: White Lions, Panthers (which led to Leopards/Jaguars), River Otters, Mountain Lions, Elephants, Vultures (mostly Turkey, because they are local and just so cool) and now different species of Tigers.The figures from some of these sets also spend a lot of time NOT in their little Lego habitats, as the kiddos love carrying around a Hare or a Lion in their pocket, and at bathtime there are usually multiple animals that require baths along with the little human beasts.This set has been a massive hit. In case of tragedy or simply needing more tigers, Lego canada’s pick-a-brick just added tigers for about $9 apiece. That

My son LOVES Lego and this was clearly a new favourite. He’s 7 and it took him 20 minutes to build it on his own, so not very challenging. He loved it regardless.

Kiddo loved this. They sequestered themselves in their fort for a blissfully silent 30 min while they build this. May take younger kids a little longer but its not a hard build by any means. We love the sets with fun animals at our house.
I purchased this for my nephew. I’m happy to say these are REAL Legos not knock offs that a lot of vendors are selling. The price is pretty close to what you would pay at Lego store. Great gift for someone who enjoys Lego sets.

Heâs so excited to put this together. Iâll try to update when that happens. Heâs six years old and his absolute most favorite things to do are build any type of Legos!
