Gorgeous and high quality baby monitor!
I recently picked up this monitor to replace my old Motorola one which constantly had problems (went through several cameras on warranty and they all broke within a few months)!I have been very impressed with this camera so far. The packaging was so beautiful and the camera itself is just gorgeous and blends in really nicely with my nursery decor (I got the pink)!I love how it can be easily positioned to attach to the side of the crib and it comes with little cable rails that you can use to cover the cord along the back side of the crib so there are no strangulation hazards. It can also be wall mounted on a cute âtwigâ and I was even able to just curl the bottom of the tail to create a little stand and just had it sitting on a dresser. Overall, this product is very versatile with respect to installation methods.The picture quality is amazing (including the night vision). I can easily tell if my baby is moving or standing up.I also love that my phone doubles as the parent unit because the recurring issue with my previous monitor was that the charging cord kept breaking/not holding a charge rendering it useless! I wonât have this issue with the Lollipop camera. You can also turn off the video and just use it as a sound monitor which really helps with battery life!We already had a wifi extender set up in my home to improve our signal in our 3 story house and I have no problem getting a signal when Iâm in the basement.Other features I like are the ability to speak to the baby through the app and trigger music to be played in the nursery.Overall I would recommend this monitor to any new mom in search of a high quality baby monitor!
Major connectivity issues. Great when it works, but inconsistent
Great picture quality, alerts, features, etc. when it works but it frequently does not work.Returned the original camera we got due to non-stop issues with connectivity and got a replacement, the replacement is a bit better but still has horrendous connectivity. I do not trust this device, and check the video stream religiously to ensure I havenât missed something while the baby is in another room.Have to spend a lot of time rebooting it due to: -night mode not working randomly-failing to connect to the app despite fantastic wifi where it is used-loading indefinitely with no video stream-standby mode not toggling properly-âcamera offlineâ error messages all the timeThis is extremely frustrating when you need a reliable, quick, and easy to use device given the intended user and use case of the camera.It would be a great product if they fixed the connectivity issues. All the other features such as the mounts, picture quality, notifications, etc.Note the wifi in the house is 10/10 with home office, gigabit internet, and no other devices in the house have issues with wifi connectivity or speed (150+ mbps wifi in lowest signal strength areas of house). The lollipop is the weak link.
Great baby camera
I have been using the Lollipop baby camera for a few weeks and so far I really like it. I use the basic features and there are lot I like about the camera. It was easy and quick to set up. The app is user friendly. The camera is so cute and stylish for any nursery room. The long tail makes it unique and can be set up in different configurations. It has amazing video quality and I can talk to baby through the camera. I also like that it sends you notifications when the baby cries or make noises. There is also a built in sound machine that I can control from the app.From time to time I will get a connection problem but it isn’t bad. There are other great features that are included when you opt-in to their subscription like breathing monitoring. I definitely recommend this camera!
Weâve been using the product for a while and itâs easy to use and the crying detection works well. Furthermore, we had a slight issue with the mount and their customer support was fantastic and quickly resolved the issue for us. Would recommend.
Iâm not one to typically write reviews but this product is seriously amazing. When I was pregnant, my husband and I spent hours looking for the perfect baby monitor. We didnât want something that came with a screen or a camera that cost a fortune. We came across the lollipop and immediately were intrigued. We bought the product and set it up right away. Having the option to wall mount of wrap around a crib was perfect as we travel a lot (they also sell a case for traveling that helps protect the camera). The app has a setting where you can turn on the noise to the camera as background noise so you can monitor your baby while still being able to use your phone; perfect for night time. The camera also has night time mode. Subsequently, you can also take little pictures of your baby through the app (great for when you find your little one in funny sleeping positions).The camera app also has cry detection so if you arenât watching the video or listening to the camera in the background, youâll also get a notification that your baby is crying and can adjust the sensitivity level to the crying sound that the camera detects.No subscription; just a one time fee of $160.After a year of us owning the camera it started making this tapping noise every few seconds in nighttime mode (very annoying). I send a video to support and they messaged me back saying they were unable to trouble shoot the issue on their end and as a result informed me that they would SEND ME A NEW CAMERA WITHOUT ASKING FOR THE OLD ONE IN RETURN after purchasing the product over a year ago, insane.Purchase, you wonât regret.
