I purchased this moisturizer to use for my hands, face and chapped lips as my skin gets really dry in the winter. It really does smell like lavender and itâs easy to apply. Just have to warm it up in your hands so itâs not chunky. I like that itâs free of essential oils because they can dry out the skin. Some of the peices donât really melt that well so itâs kind of clumped together, but overall, I enjoyed trying this product and would definitely recommend it!

My sister tried this cow tallow gentle face cream, which has been getting a lot of buzz lately, and she has some thoughts. Her face can still breathe, even with this heavier layer, and itâs incredibly nourishing, especially if she is dealing with very dry skin or harsh weather.The real magic of this cream lies in its anti-inflammatory effects. Itâs loaded with calendula and chamomile, which work wonders on irritated skin. My sisterâs husband has a recurring eczema flare-up behind his ears from dryness, and every time he dabs a bit of this cream on, the redness and itchiness are almost gone by the next morning. bit goes long way
This tallow moisturizer just glides on. It has a nice consistency that resembles butter, where at room temperature, it’s a soft balm like consistency, but once applied, natural body heat almost instantly melts it. Fortunately, unlike butter, it’s not an uncomfortable greasy or oily feel. Yes, it’s that way for a few seconds, but absorbs nicely into the skin. I’m not sure that I’d recommend this on the face, because there’s been suggestions that it’s comedogenic, but YMMV. The gentle scent of chamomile and lavender is subtle and herbal and calming. The good news is that it doesn’t seem to have these scents to cover the tallow smell, which doesn’t appear to have any to begin with.

Lumpy
I really liked the first jar of this I purchased, but left it behind in a hotel room. I ordered another to replace it and found that the replacement felt grainy and has many small white lumps of tallow in the cream. They melt when rubbed into the skin, but it’s not very pleasant.
