Although these come with a choking hazard warning for kids under 3–they cannot fit into a child’s mouth–so I would not worry about having them around small kids–they seem to be safe, no sharp edges or anything either.When you attach one block to the next, they make a clicking sound which somehow is more satisfying than having no sound–sort of a little confirmation that you did something. Since the blocks are not that big–they are a great travel toy for a train or plain ride, or even to keep a child from being bored in a restaurant. They are not messy like playdough or paints, and cannot cause damage like crayons–so another reason they are good for traveling or if you are visiting at someone else’s house. I like that these are plain colored as opposed to printed with gimmicky things and the translucent nature of them makes them interesting.Kids can play alone or with other kids –another benefit. These can also be used to enhance other toys or play time. For example, if you have a little dinosaur toy and want to act out the dinosaur climbing steps, you can build steps with these blocks. In this way the toy can be used creatively with a multitude of other toys. Lastly, because they stick together easily, clean up is a snap and fun–and you can teach kids responsibility and have them put the blocks in the bag or box when finished playing.
These blocks are amazing! The magnets are strong enough to snap into place well. They are easy and fun to build with. They are small enough for kids to handle without being a real choking hazard for little ones. I wish I bought more! These are like legos meets minecraft but with more options for building shapes because you can use all sides. The three images on the box are fun to replicate and after that kids use their imaginations!
We ordered these blocks for a 17 hour road trip. I thought it would be better for my 4 year old (less frustrating) if they were magnetic rather than typical wooden blocks.Of course, he had to try them out before we left. The blocks are semi-translucent and you can see the little magnetic ball click into place as the blocks stick together. My 4 year old thought this was pretty cool. For a road trip there are just enough blocks, not too many, but for home play it would be nice to have more as you’re pretty limited in what you can create. We may end up buying another set.
Nothing to dislike, the hold well as long as you keep them on the floor/table, wherever. Itâs when my kids start walking around with all their new buildings that they start to look like they went through an earthquake. We love all of the magnetic blocks and have got several since finding them.
