My Second Manimo & Not My Last!
I have had my own Manimo weighted animal for nearly a year now, which has been extremely helpful for both my anxiety and sensory overload. My 5 year old son expressed interest in getting one of his own and chose this snake- he loves it just as much, and finds it incredibly helpful whenever he’s feeling overwhelmed, upset, anxious, sad or frustrated. He uses it regularly and knows to grab it when he needs.They are so well made, durable and weighted perfectly. Highly recommend!

Iâm so glad that I bought this for my daughterâs birthday, it was a hit! I didnât realize that they made weighted âtoysâ for kids, it was actually a recommendation from my daughterâs preschool teacher. The texture on it is also really cool, softâ¦but has texture. The weight is perfect for my tiny tot (I got the lesser weight because she only weighs about 25 pounds). She even wants to sleep with it, although she already has about 16 blankets, and 2 stuffed animalsâ¦.I had to draw the line somewhere!
Both my boys have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and they are going through a stimming issue by chinning themselves and others. These were great interventions for me as a parent to purchase and offer to their teachers as an option to use when they feel the need for pressure on their chin. They place these in their lap or around their shoulders and they LOVE them! The teacher has seen just on the day 1 at school such an improvement and it really helps keep them from hurting themselves or anyone else by using their chins. I bought a blue one and a green one so we can tell which is which. I saw someone else commented on the way these feel and the material being poor quality. I think the quality is great! They are not uncomfortable to touch and my children have very high sensitivity issues especially to touch. The material has different texture in it to give the illusion of snake scales but it feels comfortable against the skin and I even enjoyed as an adult the feel of it around my neck. My boys seem to feel the 2.2 pound pressure very calming. I would recommend these to anyone with ASD. They are great for wearing around the neck, across the lap, the chest, pushing your chin into it, squeezing it as it is filled and the sensation is soothing. My only complaint is the price. It seems a bit pricey, especially when you love them so much and would enjoy one for school and home. I enjoy these so much that I will be buying two more soon for my boys to use at home. These are great tools to use in the ASD community.

If you’re looking for a shorter weighted snake, this is the one to go. It’s a great material and a good weight. I have autism and I’ve tried other weighted items before but this is probably my favorite one I’ve used.
