I have trouble sleeping so decided to buy the heavier version of the cat and I love it! I put it on my chest and cuddled it like a pet and slept through the whole night. I am an adult and have always loved stuffed animals, but this one was more comforting with its weight. Very happy with my purchase!
amazing, more than just a ‘toy’
my mother lost her pet recently and i was trying to figure out what it was that she was missing the most, when i came across this. she’s a senior living alone, so there’s definitely a sensory deprivation factor, but also the anxiety- all of which are alleviated by this lovely invention. the weight (i chose the heavier one) really helps to calm the nervious system down, she says she even like to place it on her shoulders like a hug, or a reminder to relax. it’s so much better than a ‘stuffy’ which is roughly in this price range.Honestly i was very hesitant getting this for an adult, but it’s a total hit! she hasn’t parted with it yet. Just a lovely ‘tool’ for anyone, from kid to adult.
We are cat lovers, but our 6 yro grandson can’t have any real pets around. These weighted cats (based on size, they are weighted according to the size of small kitten and an adult cat), continue to bring our grandson a lot of joy, provides him with a play mate, and, lots of comfort when he sleeps at night. He also loves to pretend play with them. He places them on his lap, talks with them, tosses and throws them around. These are a perfect companion for him since he has sever allergies reactions to pet dander. They are well made. Even with his rough play, there are no ripped or seam defects, nor holes anywhere in the cloth. Following their care instructions, I machine wash on gentle cycle, using cold water, a gentle detergent and air dry; they are beautifully clean every time. I highly recommend these weighted cats for any child on the autism spectrum.
I purchased this for my grandaughter who is on the autism spectrum. She loved the softness and texture of the fabric. The blue is a bright color which she also loves. The weight of the cat is just right for her. She loves to drape the cat across her shoulders or her chest/ stomach. This truly helps in calming and soothing her when she feels overwhelmed/ anxioua

This weighted plush is a great sensory tool for children, and probably many adults as well. It is very well made and very soft to touch. The polyethylene beads inside this cat add a nice amount of weight to help calm and soothe any one who holds it. These types of items are not only for a person with sensory needs- anybody can benefit from them. We have the dog as well and this cat is just a tiny bit smaller than the dog, which makes the cat a little thicker to support the same weight of beads. We use them as a homework buddy to help with concentration or as a tool when frustration levels are high. This cat is a really bright blue color and is very cute. It reminds me of Pete the Cat. In addition to the sensory benefit of the weight, the material used for the cat gives great sensory feedback. It is soft and it feels very relaxing to pet this cat. The cat will nicely hug you when you lay it on you. The beads inside are fairly mobile so if you hold it upright many beads will slide to the bottom. You can easily shift them around as needed. I am really happy with this weighted cat. I just wish toys and other items didn’t jump in price so much just because they are considered therapeutic. I really feel like everybody could benefit from these items. This would absolutely make a great gift for anybody.
My daughter is currently undergoing treatment for autoimmune encephalitis and has a lot of anxiety. We bought her this cat because she responded well to her weighted blanket. She LOVES this cat. She says it is very soft and she loves the weight. It provides some comfort when she is feeling anxious. She is 12 and we got her the 2 kg cat.
