Absolutely absurd
I’m a 43-year-old man and I had trouble putting this together. The idea that this is suitable for 8-year-olds infuriates me. The nuts and bolts don’t stay tight and they keep coming apart as you move on to additional steps, meaning you always have to circle back and redo your work. Some of these bolt placements are impossible to access, and I can’t imagine an 8-year-old with their lack of dexterity trying to hold FIVE pieces together at the same time. Many of these steps necessitate four hands. Yes, an 8-year-old should be able to tighten a bolt, but that’s not the problem; this is poorly designed and certain steps are impossible for adults, let alone children. I bought this because it’s 1/3 the cost of Lego and I thought maybe my child could excel at it, but it left her feeling defeated.
