We purchased this digital infrared thermometer gun to check temperatures throughout the house as we have been dealing with extreme cold here. It is easy to use and we believe gives accurate readings. We were able to deal with warming up some of the colder areas in the house (we are fortunate a water pipe did not break!) thanks to being able to get readings from the thermometer gun. This product is very useful to us and was a great value. It also comes with a food thermometer which we will also use.

This is a great little device that can be used to check surface temperatures that are beyond arms reach. It uses infrared technology to sense the temperature. Also useful for testing ovens freezers fridges, looking for cold spots that may cause condensation on walls, et cetera.The bleep is a bit annoying but manageable, the visual indication of reading area is great !
A friend uses a cast iron flat griddle, but had no idea how how it was so pancakes either immediately burned or never quite cooked right. With this, he can now set the heat to the desired temp and cook successfully. Over time I got 3, one for each friend with cast iron cooking surface (one on stove, one on his BBQ.I have a normal bbq grill, but still use this to gauge temperature say different ends of the grill. Very handy, very easy to use.They have a chart of items that you can tell it what is sensing, but I find that is not that useful, so I just test everything with the same background, with no discernable downside. I’m as interested in difference in temp at various grill spots than absolute temp with ½ degree. Accurate to a couple degrees works for me.
Think is is good but don’t understand the instructions which are all rather technical. Guess I will work it out. Good getting 2 for one.
