Description
The Supplemental Nursing System (SNS) is a lactation aid that consists of a container filled with supplementary milk that is clipped securely to a bra strap, shirt or pillow. While the baby is latched at the breast or chest, a thin, flexible tube is placed alongside the nipple into the baby’s mouth and a controlled and consistent flow of milk is released as they feed. This innovative system helps with breastfeeding challenges, low milk supply, relactation, and helps non-gestational, trans and non-binary parents to breastfeed or chestfeed. The SNS is designed for home use as long as is necessary.

Helps with breastfeeding – two persons job
It has helped our preterm baby to train and improve suction. At the moment it is a two-person job with every feed. I recommend using medical tape to hold in place the tube while feeding.
Damaged box
This is unacceptable. This is expensive and supposed to be super sanitary and the box came in horrible condition looking like it’s been tampered with or not new.

Good and bad
This is the only available lactation aide that is a complete supplemental nursing system in the market. It is good but the anti leak twist lock lid broke causing leakage which is ironic. The worse thing is that I cannot find a replacement for that specific part and I donât want to spend another $60 buying an entire product. Iâll try to call medela but it doesnât look like this product is even available in the Canadian market

The sns is useful for sure and effective in what it does; however, the “clip” is useless and barely holds onto anything without falling off, especially with anything more than 1oz in the bottle. For a bottle, vent lid and flow restrictor, clip, tube, and ring, the price is kind of crazy. I might have purchased an alternative (just a tube and flow restriction system) had I known this before.Edit: after writing this, the Anti-leak TwistLok Lid got a crack in it and it now leaks all over me when I try to use it. Not great for only 2 weeks of use!Second edit: I contacted customer service and they were fabulous in assisting me. They’re sending a replacement, so hopefully it will work better. Not sure if I’d buy this exact product again but I’d certainly deal with the company again in future.
Leaked after second use
Not many options on the market and unfortunately the hose attachment is very finicky ⦠found it just kept leaking.
This system is very well designed, I also appreciate they give you a syringe to clean the tubing. The clamp to slow milk is very helpful and the clip to hold the bottle can easily connect to your shirt or bra.The only thing I wish is that they would include replacement tubing or at least sell replacement tubing. The tube will eventually break down and then you have to buy the entire product again just to get another tube.

Es un producto para bebés muy delicado. AMAZON deberÃa supervisar que esté nuevo y sellado antes de enviar. Este producto que recibà muy probablemente alguien más lo usó y devolvió a amazon y me lo enviaron en una caja que no corresponde al del producto. La verdad, AMAZON muy mal por lo que representa la calidad del producto en cuanto a higiene y cuidado, además es un producto costoso como para que me envÃen uno semi nuevo.
We were excited to try this model after having difficulty with the âstarterâ model. Unfortunately, we had a great deal of difficulty from the beginning trying to get the tube to attach to the bottle. It does not easily screw in and will leak and not work if you canât get it inserted correctly. It is odd because it looks like it should just screw in, but the parts donât easily fit together. After one day of use, we noticed the part you screw the tube to the bottle with had cracked. Not sure if we got a faulty piece of equipment or if this is poor design. Itâs such a bummer because we really need it to work!
This system does the job. However, the the yellow part of the twist lock tubing cracked and milk leaks everywhere. The worst part is that you can’t replace the twist lock tubing.
