Inside were 4 bags of various parts and instructions to build 6 models. The instructions show the parts needed for each machine then goes through each step in depth in 4-8 pages, depending on the complexity of the machine. Each machine has different coloured pages to make it easier to distinguish between them. This kit comes with small parts so is for kids 3yrs+ because of the choking hazard.The set comes with a red square screwdriver for the bolts, and a grey wrench to tighten the nuts. It would be better to have 2 wrenches as 2 are needed to tighten the axle. The bolts and nuts are a bit harder to move than normal steel ones because they are made of plastic so need a bit more force using the screwdriver and wrench, rather than being able to hand-thread them.The pieces are different colours which makes it a lot easier to figure out which piece goes where from the diagrams. It also makes the finished machine very colourful.I found the pictures on the listing a bit deceiving as they made the machines look much bigger compared to the people than they actually are. The video was more accurate for size with the real child interacting with the toy, as the others seemed to have people edited into the pictures with the toy so the size ratio was not correct. The only dimensions given on the listing is “25 x 25 x 25 millimetres” which is too small to refer to any of the parts, machines or case. The case is about 9 3/8″ long x 7″ wide x 4″ high (23.8 cm x 17.8 cm x 10 cm). The finished front loader, which is one of the bigger machines, is about 10 1/4″ long x 6 1/4″ wide x 4 1/2″ high (26 cm x 16 cm x 11.5 cm).I was able to build the front end loader (the first machine in the booklet) in about 25 minutes. I enjoyed it so much I will likely build the others when I am looking to do something relaxing. I like how rewarding the finished product is, and how each part moves when it’s all built. It also doesn’t fall apart easily like a lot of the brick-type models since it is bolted together. That makes it a useable toy when built.

Great introduction to construction, mechanics, and engineering + colourful and fun!
The hubs and I often have our many nieces and nephews over to visit and, for those times, we like to have toys, games, and activities on hand that will keep our little charges engaged, entertained, and happy…if they can learn something in the process, so much the better! So, when I saw this cool-looking 6-n-1 STEM building toy, I just had to check it out. The kit comes packaged in its own handy case with a cardboard band wrapped around the case. The band is professionally-designed, full-colour, and features information about the kit. So, this kit does get points for presentation, which means it’s appropriate to give as a gift, if you are so inclined.The storage case is made of lightweight plastic and measures approximately 9” x 7” x 4”. It closes shut by way of two plastic clips, one on each side. It also has a carry handle on the top. It feels kind of flimsy, to be honest, but at least you get something to keep the pieces in. Inside the storage case, the pieces are separately packaged in four, clear, plastic bags according to their type. So, you get nuts and bolts in one bag, wheels in another and so on. This helps to keep the kit organized until your kiddos get their hands on it and rip the bags open. LOL. Included in the set are two tools: a screwdriver and a wrench. All of the kits pieces are made of a sturdy plastic in various colours and they feel quite robustly made. You also get a sizable, full-colour manual with step-by-step instructions using illustrations to show your child how to build each of the 6 toys. The illustrations are very clear in their instructions and make it super-easy for children from age 4 and up to build each of the toys. Each toy also has its own level of difficulty, so you can start beginners or young children off at an easier level of difficulty and let them work their way up to building the more difficult toys.This toy is a big hit with the kids here, especially the ones in the 4 – 8 age range. This is a toy that a group of children can share and work on together. It teaches children how to follow instruction, gives them a sense of spatial awareness, gives them an introduction into mechanics, engineering, and construction, inspires creativity, helps develop more advanced cognitive functions, helps develop hand/eye coordination as well as small motor skills, and gives children a sense of achievement when they have successfully built a toy. Something else about this toy is that it has two functions: 1. as a building STEM toy and 2. after the toys are built, they can be played with. The tools work as they should and the screws and nuts work well to hold the pieces together tightly so that your child’s achievement won’t fall apart on them while they are playing with it. I love that the pieces are so brightly coloured, which really appeals to all children and draws their interest. The manual is, likewise, colourful which helps little ones to keep their focus on the instructions. The kiddos had very few issues understanding what the illustrations were instructing them to do, so only the younger children need to ask for help. The weakest part of this set is the storage case. No matter how gingerly your child treats it, it will fall apart eventually because it’s not made to last, so I would suggest finding another, sturdier case to hold the pieces to this set. Thank goodness the pieces to the set are all durably made. I also wish that multiples of tools were included in the set so that more than one or two children can have a tool to use when a group is playing with this toy. The screws and nuts can be turned easily enough with fingers, but that’s not as fun to kids as using a tool is. Also be aware that the finished toys aren’t as big as many of the photos in the product listing show. For a more accurate view of size, see the video or the 5th photo in the product listing.At $35.99 for a 6-in-1 STEM construction set with 118 pieces to it, I feel the price is fair, especially considering there is more than one function to this set, so there is lots of play value in it. At the moment, Moontoy is offering a coupon for $4 off, bringing this set down to a more affordable $31.99, so if you have been considering this set, now would be a good time to pull the trigger. Just be aware this set is not appropriate for children 3 and under since it contains lots of small parts that could present a choking hazard. Excellent building set
I chose the MOONTOY Kids STEM Kit Building Toy for the little guy who is 6 years old. The first cool thing about the building set is the case that it comes in. It is well made, durable, and has a handle for carrying around. The instructions are really well laid out and colour coded for easy distinguishing of parts. Dad was there to help time-to-time, but he was able to do much of the work on his own. This is a very giftable toy and earns 5 Stars.

La verdad está bastante bien, un poco difícil para niños, mi hijo tiene 6 y le ha costado, terminé yo armándolo jajaja pero me entretuve bastante y me ha gustado el resultado!
