Wished I knew about these earlier
This tool is incredible easy to install and very effective. I wished I knew about these magnetic locks earlier. I have the typical type of lock mechanism installed in the child rooms that required a significant amount of more time, tools, screws, mess, and yet is nowhere near as effective as these magnetic locks that just stick into place. I big thank you to the seller for thinking about the little things like providing a template for easy installation and providing decorative stickers to make the magnetic lock easy to find from the outside.
Way better than I expected
I bought a similar version from another supplier and was so disappointed with the quality. So this was my second attempt at baby proofing and decided to try this product. Was so happy with durability and ease of install. My toddler constantly pulls the cabinet doors and this is withstanding the pressure well so far. Highly recommend.
Love it
I love these so much. They do an amazing job of keeping my curious little out of places he shouldnât be and it is so easy to use. The only down side is that itâs kind of hard to use with one hand but thatâs easily changed by just using two hands. It is really great and I love how great the magnet is and that it lives on our fridge so I donât lose it. And itâs not like the press ones like I used to have because those still would open a bit and my little would close his fingers in the cabinets
Easy to Install and they WORK
These magnetic locks are incredibly easy to install and the best part is they work. I installed 16 in the kitchen area alone, from swing cupboard doors to pull out drawers. I was skeptical at first that they would meet my needs as my baby is strong and persistent but they have held up wonderfully. We bought more to install in all the bathrooms around the house as well. These are a cost effective and aesthetic as you canât see them.
Invisible and great
Functions well. You canât see it from the outside and so doesnât ruin the appearance like some other childproofing systems I used before.
Do not stick well
They are easy to install, but just fall off when you pull on the drawer.

Good product
Works great on door cabinets however not enough room to use on drawers. I like how they are hidden and once you get use to using the magnetic I think it was a worthwhile purchase.
We tried these to secure the kitchen cabinets from my nieces children but found that only some of the cabinets in our house worked with these locks. Mostly the ones in our two bathrooms. We gave the rest to my niece to try out in her kitchen and she had the same issue on some like we did but did use them on a pantry and two other places in her house. I am not sure exactly how you would be able to make sure they fit before ordering I guess you just have to try it to find out. The installed ones seem to work to deter small curious hands from opening up everything. I have not removed any of them yet but I expect they will come off similar to the plastic hooks with the adhesive pads that you can peel off by stretching the backing when you want to remove them.
MtMinn Child Safety Magnetic Cabinet LocksIâm very happy with these 20 magnetic cabinet locks. They were easy to install once I understood how the three pieces (latch, latch mouth, and positioning piece) fit together. Watch the video on the listing; itâs helpful.The four blue keys are soft to the touch (really nice) and they work perfectly to unlock the doors. The keys are magnetic but if you need to attach them to a nonmagnetic surface thereâs a companion piece with a sticky back that you can use.I didnât use the clear stickers that indicate where the latches are, but theyâre available if you need them. 20 extra stickers for both the lock mouths and the latches are included if you need to reposition the latches (new cabinets, etc.), which is a nice touch.Applying these latches is like painting; the prep work (cleaning and possibly coloring one small piece of the lock mouth if your cabinets arenât white) is key. Clean the cabinets with some rubbing alcohol or something (I used 70% Isopropyl Alcohol) as the stickers have stuck REALLY well to the cleaned cabinets. I decided to remove one to see if there would be any damage upon removal and it would not budge just minutes after applying. However, it peeled off in one piece after I held a hair dryer right next to it for a good minute. So, you will be able to remove these if your situation changes and you no longer need them.I applied all twenty locks. If there had been a set with 10 white and 10 black/dark brown locks, I would have chosen that option. With the ten brown cabinets that I applied these to you could see a small rectangle of white when looking down at the doors (which isnât as noticeable on white cabinets). Of course, I didnât notice this right away and installed eight of them before realizing. I was able to color the final two, that I applied to an entertainment cabinet, before installing. I colored (I used a black sharpie) the small, flat, rectangular piece of the lock mouth that attaches to the top of the cabinet door and juts out a bit. So, color pieces ahead of time if you think youâll want to as itâll be easier and youâll get better coverage.I canât speak to durability yet, but I donât think these latches are moving any time soon. Made in China.
I got these locks in preparation for our baby growing up and starting to get into things. Iâve mainly tested out a few of these on kitchen cabinets and drawers, and theyâve been easy to install and use.Pros:- Installation is pretty straightforward with the included stickers, and easy to install these in a nondescript corner of a drawer or cabinet- Once installed, the cabinets / drawers stay closed despite moderately hard pulling- Magnets are easy to use to unlockCons:- When installing for drawers they take up quite a bit of space and for me make part of the drawer not really usable for utensils / knives etcMiscellaneous thoughts:- While it hasnât happened to me yet, I worry that eventually the adhesive stickers will fail, as opposed to something that was screwed into drawer hardware, but that is the trade off I guess for not really harming the cabinets with installation
My 10lb cat was able to break these and get into my cabinets. The adhesive doesn’t stick well, even after 24 hrs curing time. I do not recommend.
These just didnât work for the cabinets we have. The adhesive didnât seem to work out well for us, but Iâm not sure if itâs due to our cabinet size or the strength of the adhesive. We will be gifting this to a friend and they hope they work better for them. The two things I did really like about this set that I havenât seen in others are that it comes with a little stickers to put on the outside of the cabinet to remind you that thereâs a Lock there- with other sets, my husband forgets and just Yanks the cabinet open. It also comes with a mounting piece to help you properly align the two sides to the cabinet and the door.
