The path to self-feeding can start sooner than you think, and the right starter spoons are key! Meet the perfect companion for a successful baby-led weaning journey: our Gentle Dip Multistage Spoons. Ideal for thin purees and semi-solid foods, these first spoons are great self-feeding “teachers” for your baby (second only to you!). Start with Stage 1, a trainer spoon with bumps to help pick up purees and promote oral awareness, then graduate to Stage 2, which has open channels to help baby pick up more food. The unique ergonomic shape and flat head design lets babies dip into soft foods before they have the motor skills needed to scoop with traditional spoons. And there’s no right or wrong way to hold these first utensils, so baby can grasp independent eating more easily. Time to savor new flavors and textures with baby’s new favorite spoons!
The perfect first spoon set; includes one Stage 1 spoon (green) and two Stage 2 spoons (blue)
Encourages self-feeding from an early age
Flat head and ergonomic design means no right or wrong way to hold
Two stages include Stage 1 for thin purees, Stage 2 for soft, semi-solid foods
BPA Free, 4+ months

Baby LOVES
Great for independent eating practice, and also great for teething babe.
Exactly as described
They work well.
Great Dupe!
Cost efficient alternative to Num Num Baby Spoons. My little one was able to hold and feed himself well right away with these. Love that these are easy to clean as well. My little guy also loved to chew on these as a teething toy. Dual purpose ð¤£
Good quality, comparable to Gootensils
I had bought a set of Gootensils but then lost a few the Stage 1 one so ordered these as a replacement. They are very similar (maybe a bit slippier) but easy for my baby to hold and attempt (at 7 months) to feed herself.
Great size
My baby loves these spoons. It’s just the right size for tiny hands to learn to feed themselves. We rinse as soon as finish feeding then wash in the dishwasher & haven’t had any issues with food getting stuck in them yet.
OT recommended
An OT I follow online recommends these to help baby learn how to self feed. My little one has been using these for a few weeks now and absolutely loves them as they are easy to use and she is developing the skill of feeding herself. Perfect gift for a new mama as well!
Hard spoons – they do the job but aren’t baby’s favorites
I have these and the Num Num pre-spoons. I’d say the Munchkins are a great budget-friendly alternative, especially when the price goes up on the competition (maybe it’s a Canada thing?).They’re hard plastic, which makes them easier to clean. However, the handle is a bit bulkier and harder to hold for tiny hands. My baby prefers silicon to use for teething, but that’s an “each baby is different” situation.
Horrible customer service
Munchkin customer service is horrible with little thought for busy parents. Packaging is not well thought out, QR code for more information is hidden. Spoons are great but melt quickly! Do not get them too hot. Customer service zero. Price is too high. Better comparable products from other companies at a lower price.
This is such a great introduction spoon for babies to learn to self feed. My little one loves it! Itâs easy to hold in his hand and the texture is nice and soft for teething gums. Itâs works super well for him to use and get used to self feeding.
I have about 6 of these and love them! Easy to mash food for baby to learn how to use spoons and still get food without too big of chunks! Easy to clean and quality material. Love these!
These are perfect for BLW. The size is great for little hands. They are easy for babies to hold and grasp. Feel like the quality is good and sturdy. I did notice with pasta sauce they did stain a little if it sat in the sauce too long.
My 6 month old loves to feed herself. These utensils work great with purées, mashes, and other super soft foods. My baby prefers to use these over her hands. Sheâs really good with one. Highly recommend.
My son loves these spoons, easy for him to hold and use!
