More suction and no proprietary salt products required
This nasal irrigation system has significantly more suction than that ‘other’ brand and there is no need for any proprietary packaging on the saline thus I can use standard, cheap nasal salt packs available at any pharmacy. So it is very inexpensive to use on a daily basis and you can count on it fully cleaning out your nasal passages.Also there are no interlocks on this device meaning you can’t be locked out of using a device you paid for because you don’t satisfy the proprietary requirements for saline packaging. I found that I wasted about ten per cent of the saline packs I purchased due to the interlocks not working correctly and I’d have to start over with clean water and another saline pack that may or may not work.I’m truly happy to be past that major inconvenience and expense.The additional suction achieved results like I’ve never seen before. It was a bit scary at first as my ears popped and water did flow into my mouth the first time but I quickly realized I was pushing the device too hard toward my face. Stopping for a second, then relaxing the pressure and re-starting fixed the problem. No more ear popping and no water in the mouth.It may take a time or two before everyone figures out the right amount of pressure but I doubt it will be a problem for most.Now since it has no interlocks to prevent you forgetting the saline – don’t forget the saline!I did that once and it really hurt and I really don’t want to do that ever again 🙂

J’utilise mon premier achat de système d’irrigation pour la 3e fois, et c’est toujours pareil, ils disent d’ouvrir la bouche pour respirer et l’eau commence Et me bouche les oreilles,, et l’eau sort par la bouche, ça n’a aucun sens. Je me demande ce que je fais pas correct. Donc, je ne recommande pas ce système. Je voulais aussi mentionner que quand j’ai ouvert le compartimenta batteries, il y avait déjà une batterie 9 volts dans le compartiment, c’est donc un retour qu’ils m’ont refilé.Quel désastre.

I bought it because it does not require some kind of expensive salt cartridge. However, the flow of the water follows only one direction.

It works really well
It’s easy to fill water and easy to use. I had a manual one, this one works way better, running water gently. Definitely worth a try

One thing I found about neti bottles is that they do not provide enough pressure to clean out the nasal cavity adequately. You have to repeatedly squeeze the bottle, pause, and then repeat. But even after the bottle is finished, much of the crusted material is still inside and sometimes you need a second rinse. The reason for that is that every time you pause to let the bottle recharge, half of the water volume never gets up to the nose, but instead drains out to the drain while you let the bottle recharge.Because this machine is battery-operated, it can keep constant pressure on the nasal passages without recharging, thus reducing the wasted water between sessions. The first time I used this I was quite surprised because there was still quite a bit of water remaining when I thought the nasal passages were rinsed out.A few things to note on this:1. There is a rubber seal that is designed to seal the canister when you refill the tank. This seal is designed to stay in place rather than be disposed of after filling the tank.2. The pump always pumps water in one direction. Although the water always drains through the other nostril, you will need to physically rotate the device around to force water through the other nostril if that is desired.3. The water tank holds approximately the same amount of water as a neti bottle. I was able to use commercially prepared salt packets without any stinging or discomfort.3. The tank seems to be made from a hard plastic that can handle boiling water without any issues. I usually add the salt into the container, followed by hot water, swirl around, and mix cold distilled water to the desired temperature.4. Blowing your nose before use is probably a good idea since it opens up the nasal passages for the water to pass through (especially when you are very congested).5. Opening your mouth while rinsing will allow the pressure to equalize — otherwise water may create pressure on the ears and you will get some discomfort afterward.6. The waste compartment does not have a side drain that allows you to drain the water, so you would have to open the tank to drain it out through the middle compartment. To keep things clean, I usually rinse both compartments with a little bit of hot water twice so all the nasty stuff is rinsed out of the tank.

I just tried using this nasel system. I read the instructions and when I tried use it, all the water went to the back of both of my ear drums. It built up so much pressure I thought it was going to pop my ear drums. Good about an hour to let the water naturally drain from my ears. I don’t know if it’s the product or how my nasel cavity is but just be careful using this product.
