Plush bed but lacks quality safety features
After my dog stressed during our 2 week driving holiday, I bought 3 different beds for him to try. The other 2 were definite ânoâs for him. This one he likes so we are keeping it. Itâs large and very plush and he instantly relaxes in it. It does take up the majority of the back seat in my Nissan Rogue but it does not reach the sides entirely. So my dog does not get up to hang his head out the window. He just calmly lays. The lateral sides are quite high so he is not comfortable getting in and out on his own so I have to lift him. He is 43 lbs with long springy legs but still he wants to be lifted. The straps that go around the head rest do so at an angle. I would have liked to seen them more straight on as it seems like these were sewn in the wrong places. Also the hook and tether for your dog is attached to the bed and not the vehicle seatbelt latch. The tether and clasp are flimsy and will likely break just by looking at it never mind a dog pulling on it. Donât count on it for keeping your dog in the car.
My dog typically hates car rides. Iâve literally tried everything to help make his rides more enjoyable. THIS he enjoys. Itâs super soft and easy to hook up and take off. It is quite large so if you want something thatâs a quick on and off, it might be a little cumbersome. I just leave it in the car all the time. Definitely recommend.
The box was big and it’s big. I let it sit in the dining area for a while before putting it in my truck. It have my pup an opportunity to get used to it while it sat. He absolutely loves it and would lay in it whenever I was downstairs. Moved into the truck and it consumes almost the entire backseat! Good for him to move around but would have liked it to take up a little less space.
Love this car/bed seat for my dog, but probably not as much as Fargo will. Fargo is almost 90 lbs and fits fine in this seat. Itâs easy to install and should be fairly easy to clean when it gets dirty. Itâs really soft and itâs a nice color. The straps seem strong and easy to put over the headrests. Would make a nice gift for a dog lover.
