Perfect for the job
The job was to close up some deep skin cracks on my finger tips, long enough for them to heal. These strips worked very well. Just be sure to clean your skin properly before applying.
Good first-aid product.

Same ones the hospital uses, I had a bad finger cut, these helped a lot. Oddly my local shoppers doesn’t carry them or know what they are.

Bought to have around in our first aid kit at home, and when going hiking
These Steri-Strips are meant to hold wounds/cuts together without the need for stitches. (obviously for bigger things should go to hospital). We have them in our first aid kit at home, and in the little first aid bag in our vehicle, which we also toss into our bag when hiking. While hiking one of our party members slipped and hit her chin on the rocks, and it was raptured. It wasn’t all that bad, so I cleaned up her wound and then applied these to hold it together (but still applied gauze on top, and a bigger bandage). That was the first and only time they were actually used, and I can say these Steri-strips provide strong adhesion and effectively close wounds. To play it safe I would say good for small / medium sized wounds, while for anything bigger, it may be used for first aid, but should go see a doctor to ensure the wound is properly closed to promote quick / safe recovery. In addition to these we also have super-glue in our first aid kit, just in case (since the surgical glue is very expensive). Overall VERY impressed by these.
Important Note: Different Sizes in Advertising
There are two boxes shown for packaging; one is for small cuts, the other is long strips. Usually when a company states packaging will vary, itâs the same contents inside or they offer different purchasing options. This one shows different boxes with differing sizes but only one purchase option. I was desperately in immediate need, so I ordered it hoping that the sizes would be small. I received the 18 extremely long strips. I used sterile hair trimming scissors to cut smaller strips for my eyebrow gash since it was impossible to use the long strips. I was able to get a few uses because once a package is opened, itâs no longer sterile. The strips adhered okânot hospital gradeâand I added antibiotic ointment as stated to prevent infection. This degrades the adhesive so I had to use a large fabric stretch bandage overtop to keep the steri-strips secured in place. This allowed them to use used for 2-3 days maximum for a week. Pros: I was impossible with the healing and scarring repair and definitely think this entire treatment I used â Strips, Polysporin Complete, Large Bandaid â made for as positive a recovery as possible. I also think these are the best available on Amazon from what I could discern from reviews and this experience. Cons: no sizing options, strips extremely big, sterile only until opening so once I cut into smaller strips I ended up throwing more away than using in each package, and thus, it was essentially $3/use. Additionally, I doubt the adhesive would have lasted more than a day without adding a bandage overtop. Overall, I would purchase again but not from Amazon unless I needed the extra long strips. Despite next morning delivery which was incredibly convenient and helpful, Iâd prefer to see exactly what size Iâm buying prior to purchasing.
Good to have
I bought these Steri-Strips to have in my first aid box for camping. A nurse in the family uses these strips regularly at the hospital to keep wounds closed without stitches. That said…she did say that these are not meant for more serious lacerations or wounds and to use discretion.
